due to on going deteriorating health, not to mention medication problems i am unable to meet my swap obligations at this time. i am trying to finnish those swaps i am in and then will be take a break untill such time as my health stabilizes and improves to the point where i can do swaps again. i apoliligize to everyone who is waiting on me.
I joined swap-bot for fun. i hope all the people i trade with feel the the same
I do the best i can in getting all my swaps out on time. i get migrains and some days feeding the dogs is about as far as i can get. i will email
hi, writing about myself is always weird. lets see now, what to say? i like old monster, mystery and really corny si fi movies, my music taste tends toward blues and 70's/80's rock.
i love working with wool as long as i don't have to shear the sheep. i spin on a drop spindle and a spinning wheel as well as crochet. yarn is one of my biggest weakness along with crochet hooks, fabric and fiber related books and magazines.
sparkly things always inspire me. beads and sequins as well as mother of pearl buttons are slowly turning into yet more collections.
i have two dogs, a newfundlund named be bopp, and a kuvasz named tempest in a tea cup. the two are very much their names. they are my babies, and will eat me out of house and home.
fortunately they leave all my yarn, fabric and even freshly sheared wool alone. i have no idea how i got this lucky. i sure didn't train them. although i can bribe them with celery.
car rides and going to the vet are two of their favorite things. they're strange dogs. unfortunately nether one is really a visiting dog. my other ones used to go to nurseing homes, developmental centers and psychiatric facilities.
i like primative art and really simple techniques. like useing beautiful yarn with a simple stitch makes really nice shawls. i mostly draw simple figures and my favorite way to make shapes for lost wax casting is just dripping wax. mushing together toothpick size pieces of wax to make stick type figures also works for me.
and then there's the sparklies. they go just about anywhere, in moderation.
i like just about anything from gory to soft pastels. i enjoy religuse (both monotheism and pagan) symbols, paintings, as long as it's not preachy. i really am not big on cutesy anything.
i watch ncis, law & order criminal intent, the daily show and scooby doo any chance i get. i am not much of a book reader but i love pattern and technique and pictures. my magazines include spin off, wild fiber, quilting arts, interweave crochet, and some of the simpler than threads ones.
blade runner and the fifth element are two of my favorite movies. far apart and most in between. not big on romantic, mushy.
if anyone has any advise on how to organize the vast amounts of papers and images and other stuff i would be really greatfull. i am being over run by paper.
i am starting a series of atcs of nude women, degas, gauguin, artsy types as well as hand drawn or other pictures. any thing but gross. i will update as the series progresses.
i would give an update as i have done some, but most went out as swaps.
i have been asked to give my preference for post cards. i have been so happy with all of the ones that i have received that i really don't want to put one down. after much thought... i like just about everything from really gory to quiet pastles, any type of religouse symbolism, including pagan, as long as it's not to preachy. anything really except cutsie and i am trilled to receive them.
please help any ideas on pens that don't smugde. i am slowly looseing my mind. thanks
