Hello! I'm Remi. I've been on Swapbot for over a year now and I love it! This was originally my mom, Laurie's, account, hints the username. She joined one swap and then I took over. My sister is @craftyannalu and she introduced me to swap-bot.
I am nonbinary, using they/them/their pronouns. I am also neurodivergent, with both autism and ADHD. This is difficult at times, but the negativity society has formed around neurodivergency, especially autism, is worse than any symptom.
That being said, for any Children's swaps, I mostly join for myself as I do often enjoy receiving "childish" goodies over "mature" goodies. I love kid's craft kits, coloring and activity books, character stickers, and picture books, especially when they're about my special interests!
I never flake on a swap. I only join swaps I 100% intend to finish. If you don't get something from me, PLEASE message me before giving me a low score and I will do my absolute best to make it right. You'll save me a panic attack by messaging me before rating low!
I mark my swaps as sent AFTER I PUT THEM IN THE MAILBOX. I have three mailboxes I regularly put them in. If the mail has not been delivered yet, they go to our personal mailbox. If the mail has come but the post office is still open, they go in the inside mail slot at the post office. If it is a Sunday or the post office is already closed, they go in the blue box outside. Once I drop them in the box, they are out of my hands and I cannot guarantee they will be postmarked on the same day I sent them. I don't even think our post office postmarks things, they send it to the regional office. Do not mark low if the postmark is a day late.
Please be patient when it comes to being rated! I often rate a lot of swaps in a bulk, so the swap you're so eager to be rated for will probably be among those.
I have 1 dog, A wolf/bulldog/Shepard/black lab mix named Chloe. She is labeled a senior dog and has a ton of sensitivities.
Kenzie and Cinna are our two cats. They are both males. Kenzie is a gray tabby while Cinna is a black kitty with bronze toe beans. They both love catnip.
I'm a rabbit parent to 3. Satsuki is a male, white rabbit with black ears, nose and feet, and pink eyes. Cindel is completely white with pink eyes, and their daughter, Shuri, has a swirly black nose and ears on an otherwise white body. Now that she is grown, it is getting difficult to tell her and her dad apart. They love carrots, greens, and timothy hay.
I have a reborn doll. Her name is Rachel. I will happily take any used newborn or 0-3 month-sized clothes for any gender. Or baby socks, hats, mittens, etc.
I hyper fixated on topics, which as an autistic person are called my special interests. These are things I love and think of almost constantly.
X-Men: This is my oldest special interest, starting at around six or seven years old. I love Jean Grey and Cyclops and could easily infodump on them and their family for hours on end. I also have started shipping Scogean (The polyamorous relationship between Jean, Scott, and Logan) and I will not sway on this opinion, even if some marvel fans have tried to bully me online about it lol.
Black Panther: Starting after the movie came out in 2018, I've hyper-fixated HARD on Black Panther. It started with an RP group and now I am very fond of every character in the movie, especially the less popular characters like Queen Ramonda, King T'Chaka, and W'Kabi.
Dinosaurs: Dinosaur Train and Jurassic Park are probably responsible for this lol.
The Sims 4: Oh boy this is my newest special interest and by far my favorite at the moment. I can play for hours on end and have had to cut myself down on playtime because I was playing it all day, every day.
Pokemon: My 5-year-old nephew is responsible for this special interest. I started collecting pokemon cards after watching Detective Pikachu and I now have well over 200 pokemon cards.
Blue's Clues: This started as more of a goofy thing, but not that they are releasing merch again and the new show has shown support for the LGBT community, I've grown to love it again like I did when I was little.
Peppa Pig: Again, this started as a joke. Being goofy, I bought a Peppa Pig calendar to put my work schedule on last year, and after that, I became Peppa Pig obsessed lol. Even had a Peppa Pig ice cream cake for my 20th birthday.
I collect merch from the list above, and I also collect:
Lol Surprise: I felt sad one day so I bought and opened a Lol Surprise ball. Now I have collected quite a few more. I love the surprise of it all!
Mini Brands: I have a Mini Brands Christmas Advent calendar and I love opening a new tiny packaging every day! I also enjoy Shopkins Real Littles.
Crystals: Where I do not believe in the spiritual aspect necessarily (No shame or judgment to those who do though!), I love collecting crystals, pretty rocks, stones, and even sea glass and shells. I have a Christmas stocking (I call it my rock sock) on my bedroom door that I keep all the pretty pieces of gravel and rocks I pick up while outside, and then an Ancestral Plane plate I painted that holds my actual crystals. Tiny Bottles of crystal flakes are kept in a tiger eye trinket box I found at a yard sale.
I have a reborn doll. Her name is Rachel. I will happily take any used newborn or 0-3 month-sized clothes for any gender. Or baby socks, hats, mittens, etc.
And other shows on Disney+ and Hulu.
Ramonda
Jean Grey
Rachel Grey
Cyclops
T'Chaka
W'Kabi
Nakia
Okoye
Wolverine
Athena Grant
Bobby Nash
Owen Strand
(I also have crushes on most of them as well lol)
coffee: It makes my mouth sad
strong or floral-scented things; My dad cannot stand these scents so they would all go unused in my house. A little spritz of perfume on the envelope is fine though
Religious items: I am a Christian by default but I fear that a lot of Christian items are made by companies who preach against being LGBTQ+ as if it is a choice. I do not support Chick-fil-A or Hobby Lobby for this reason. Jesus made me who I am and loves every gay, non-binary ounce of my being ๐๐
American political or patriotic things: This country needs to have a lot of fixing before I will want to have anything patriotic. The closest thing I will like is Captain America and Hamilton merch
Autism Speaks: PLEASE educate yourself on the harm of this company if you support them. They do not speak for Autistic people, nor do most of their profits go to the autism community.
Autism puzzle pieces: Society is not a puzzle and we are not missing pieces. We do not need to fit in
Anything with tornados: that's probably not a common thing swapped by I am very lilapsophobic and just photos of tornados give me anxiety
