Hi there!
My name is Lelia. I'm 43 years old, married for 18 years and the mother of two teenage girls. I homeschool one of of my daughters, do some freelance writing, love to garden, am studying herbalism and energy therapy, enjoy paper crafts, cooking, baking, and knitting & crochet. (I find the last two activities especially fun when watching hockey or American football).
I was an English major and am fond of most of the classics, especially 19th century British fiction. In winter, I like to curl up with some good old detective fiction. I Γ’β’Β₯ Cormoran Strike, Maisie Dobbs, Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot, Sherlock Holmes, Malcolm Fox, John Rebus and Armand Gamache. I'm always looking for new series to try, so let me know if you have any recommendations. I also like memoirs and autobiographies and have recently enjoyed Jeanette Winterson's Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal? and Terry Tempest Williams' When Women Were Birds. And I'm always a sucker for any kind of self-help, think-positive, metaphysical type books.
I like Muhammad Ali, art, ATCs, Jane Austen, Vanessa Bell, birds, books, Buddha, Agatha Christie, coffee, dark chocolate, deer, Degas' horse paintings, Ralph Waldo Emerson, equestrian statues, flowers, gardens, green, hands, hawks, herbs, Jean-Auguste Dominique Ingres, Jizo, journals, Joan of Arc, Martin Luther King, Jr., Kwan Yin, landscapes, Lord of the Rings, Henri Matisse, mythology, note cards, office supplies, Georgia O'Keefe, paper, poetry, postcards, quotations, readers, royalty, Mark Ryden, William Shakespeare, stickers, tarot, turquoise, U.S. Presidents and First Ladies, Vincent van Gogh, washi tape, William Wegman's Weimaraners, Walt Whitman, Virginia Woolf, writers, yoga.
