Hello there--please check out our new group District 13. When you've been rated on at least 10 mailed swaps, we'd love to have you join us!

Hello. I have not yet received the "send to the person above you" tag that you commented about.

phantazmagoria on Oct 13, 2010:

Hello! I am a huge fan of Orson Scott Card and loved the Ender's Game series! I read JM Barrie's Peter Pan in high school - it was awesome. I hope you like it. You should try reading the Wizard of Oz, sooo different from the movie. Thank you for participating!!! I'm a newbie, gotta start somewhere. (Read profile, leave comment swap)

I just read your profile and we have a lot of likes in common! I adore satin cord, and lately I am really in love with glass beads. I like the same tv as you, and Ender's Game in books. Have you read Hunger Games? Another good one with a somewhat similar feel, IMO. I don't really draw, but I'd love to have that talent. I hope to take some classes at some point and see if I can develop any skill at all. I also have been longing to do a mosiac. I did some as a kid and have really fond memories. I've started stockpiling some basic supplies, but will probably wait till next summer to try. Too many projects lined up!

Loved reading your profile! It's so uplifting and positive.

We do have many things in common. You are getting into painting, as am I. I am working on watercolors at the moment. We both love musicals, Phantom is by far my favorite! We both love antiques - my house is decorated mostly in antiques and we both love scrapbook materials.

Hopefully we get each other for a swap soon! :D

Good Morning! Reading your profile, I found a few things we have in common! I, too, like to watch sci-fi and Steeler football! Musicals are my favorites, too! As is historical fiction!

Aren't grandbabies wonderful?! I miss mine! They are all in Ohio!

i'm a vintage gal myself! I recently picked up a collection of Victorian porcelain boots at a free thrift shop we have here! Yep, a free thrift store!

I've been drying flowers to use for my crafting! Maybe one day I'll have you as a swap partner and I'll send you some!

I really enjoyed your profile!

Blessings!

How are you doing with the watercolor? I've been playing with it for many years, but have yet to master it. I don't think I do it enough. One of my favorite techniques is using a wet brush to remove pigment. That way you can shade and highlight without adding too much color. :)

When I was a Christian and into the church a lot, I liked the Max Lucado Bible. I'm not sure which version you read, but this one was the best written bible I read and I had read a few.

It doesn't sound like you'd like the books I used to read back then, but I recommend Prophet by Frank Peretti to all my Christian friends. I loved the way it was written and would even read it now as a naturalist. I've actually read 4 of his books and thought they were great.

Hi! I just saw the comment on my profile - if you message me with your state I'll look through my PC's and see if the swap was maybe not marked. I usually rate the same day I receive the swap but am in a lot of PC swaps so sometimes it's tough to figure it out if there isn't a note. Or I also may have made a mistake (known to happen). :) Just let me know & I'll take a look. Have a great day!

Hi! I'm Rebecca, one of your partners from the Read and Comment swap. Congratulations on being a grandmom, how wonderful to have a first grandbaby!

My 9 yr. old is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan!! I enjoy crime shows that use science, Bones is my favorite. I enjoy musicals and pretty much anything they show on TCM. I think I was born in the wrong era.

I wouldn't suggest collecting buttons, it's a fast growing addiction :) That's wonderful that you have taken up sketching, I hope it goes well for you. I enjoyed Bridge to Terabithia and would love to read Gone with the Wind...not sure I'm up to it though.

Enjoy that little grandbaby and Happy Swapping! ~Hugs~ Rebecca
