Hi! I'm a mom of 3 kids (all double digits!) here in central Wisconsin. I've swapped through Postcrossing, but swap-bot is all new, so I'm hoping it's a fun experience!
I love writing letters and sending little, fun things through the mail. One of my fondest memories as a kid was getting new stationery (and I still love it today!)
I also love trying new types of tea. My 16 year old daughter loves tea as well, which is fun to have that little thing to share with her (Until she drinks the last of my tea...then it isn't so fun!)
Other random things: -I love the colors green and pink (and green and pink together). I don't really have a "not acceptable" color, although I don't wear a lot of orange with my red hair
-I really love playing video games. I have an Xbox One and a PC. I play everything from Fallout and Skyrim, to Saints Row to Kizi.com on the PC (Oh those little time wasters make me happy every time!)
-I don't identify with any religion, but I would never begrudge you celebrating yours with me. If you have a Blessed Easter or a Happy Hanukkah or an Eid Saeed card, please send it. Please refrain from sending religious "tracts". I don't need a conversion (I'm quite happy).
-I very much appreciate everyone else's artistic ability. I am a great fiber artist, but not a great drawer. I love seeing what you can do as an artist, so please feel free to send hand made things if the swap allows :)
I love all kinds of music! My favorite is 90's Alternative/grunge or 80's pop/rock (You know...those "Glory Days"), but I have been known to sing along with everything from Country to Macklemore if the song is right. :)
I work in a library, so books are somewhat my life! My favorite book is probably Gone with the Wind, but, because I work in a high school, I tend to read a lot of YA books. I am a huge Stephen King fan (the first "real" novels that I remember reading were my dad's Stephen King books.) I'm also a history major, so I love to read not only historical fiction (well...."well written" historical fiction) but non-fiction too.
I love Shaun of the Dead, Kevin Smith movies, Mean Girls, classic horror films, but I'll pretty much try watching anything once. I found myself watching The Spongebob Squarepants movie last night and laughing along (and I hadn't even been drinking!)
I'm a comedy buff, and I'm not into tear jerkers. Seriously, Snoopy Come Home used to make me bawl when I was little. When you cry at the drop of a hat, it's better not to watch things that are made to make you cry very often.
I usually watch Fox's animated shows, like Family Guy, Simpsons and Bob's Burgers or South Park for the "usual, go-to" fair. I've been watching way less since we got rid of cable, so unless it's on Hulu or Netflix, I probably haven't seen it.
I love real court shows, like Judge Judy and People's Court, but I am out of luck without "real" TV.
I have also been known to binge watch Portlandia and Malcolm in the Middle.
I have been crocheting since I was 8 and knitting for the past 16 years. I am much better at knitting than I am at crocheting. I also LOVE to sew, but I never seem to have enough time to do either.
I have also gotten some beautiful, fine tipped markers and some "adult" coloring books and do that for stress relief.
I am horrible at drawing. I enjoy taking photographs, because I can usually make the lens see what I see. When I draw, I know what everything should look like. My brain just mixes it up before it gets to my hand.
These are things I love:
-Book/library related (I love bookmarks) -knitting/yarn related -Tea: Especially black, but I'll try anything. (and tea related things, like postcards, are awesome!) -I love the big letter postcards -Share a recipe! Either a postcard, or when you a note, send me a favorite of yours.
I'd love to make some new swap friends and maybe a pen pal or two. It's been a long time since I've had one, and I love to write letters.
And please share a little about yourself, your world, your life or even a fun fact about you or where you live.
And know as long as you follow the swap "rules", I'm happy with what you send me. So please don't feel like you need to send me something on my list.

Γ’ΕβΉHello Lynn,
Welcome to swap-bot. Ii is addicting. Do you remember the first thing you crocheted? My mother has knitted a few things. I don't have patients to do that kind of stuff. I have a couple of pen pals. Maybe we can do some kind of swap sometime.
Merry Christmas Γ°ΕΈΕ½β¦
