I'm one of those people who never knows what to put in these bios. I am a multifaceted human being. What silly little drivel could I possibly put to let you get to know me? I'm an animal lover, but despise PETA. I love nature and have begun my path to becoming a witch. I'm not sure I really jive well with Wicca, but there is no need to have a title really anyway. Love is the only religion I need. Respect and harmony are important to me. I try to always see thing from all angles, we come from so many places, judgement is not a good idea without more information. However I'm human so I err often.
I have been described as a"delicate flower", diagnosed with anxiety, and PTSD. Also I am a HSP or highly sensitive person, there is apparently enough of us that it is not considered a disorder. HSP means I am sensitive in almost every way. All five of my senses are super charged, which means I am more perceptive and can appreciate the little things, but tend to suffer from over stimulation or as like I like to call it "Princess and the Pea Syndrome". It seems so weird that weather you are normal or no really comes down to numbers. If enough people were sociopaths would it be considered "normal"?
I have found my soul mate in my best friend and boyfriend, Luke. I have a tortie cat named Miyu, she has many more and severe mental disorders than me. But that's normal for a tortie. I give her calming treats, they seem to help. I snuggle a lot with both of them, sometimes all three of us just make a cuddle puddle on lazy afternoons.
One of my main goals on this site (after looking at a bunch of swaps to decide weather I wanted to join) is to start up my own swaps, most Newbie friendly. I've found that they are discriminated against quite harshly and as a new person to this site feel that that needs an opposition. I understand completely about the flaking being the reason for this, but it has truly gotten out of hand, just from the looking around I have seen.
I'm a bit of a hedonist. Pretty sure I'm a cartoon character. My favorite color is rainbow. I'm some sort of geek, don't ask what kind. I'm very friendly, but very shy. I'm observant, yet oblivious. Smart, yet dumb. Vain, yet lacking self-esteem...I am a walking paradox...and yet there is nothing special about me. :)
I'm all over the place with my music. I'm not a fan of country or much metal, but besides that I tend to like at least a little from most types. I'm a rock girl, especially alt rock. Seether might be my favorite band. I also really love classic rock, I'm a Beatles and Queen fan. Psychedelic music is either really perfect or kinda off for me. I spent almost my entire life thinking Grateful Dead wasn't for me, never judge a book by it's cover I suppose. They are the happiest, sweetest band I've ever heard. I like a mash up master who goes by Girl Talk. Ellie Goulding is a great pop artist, but I like the super big stuff like Gaga, even coming around to Katy Perry. I really don't like Muse, AC/DC or Linkin Park. I know how could I? Gangster rap is really growing on me lately. I'll thank Girl Talk for that one. I wish I knew more blue grass and Folk. Malvina Reynolds is the coolest folk artist, love her.
Give me fantasy! I'm glad the steampunk genre is getting a reboot, although a lot of it out there seems to just be cashing in on the popularity of it at the moment, and aren't that well written. I love Neil Gaiman, his narrative voice is truly divine. I was a big Anne Rice fan back in Middle School but that's been a minute, I have often thought of getting back into her. A book that I recommend, besides anything Gaiman, is called Boneshaker, look it up! I also love a good cheap romance paper back every once in a while, I need a good easy laugh. I'll read just about anything, actually. No, I have not read that Twilight fanfic turned best seller called Fifty Shades of Grey , nor do I care to. See the "about me" section where I said I had an awesome lover named Luke, don't need that book. I'm a bookworm who has fallen off reading often, trying to get back on.
I have trouble naming these. The Mummy 1&2, Love Actually, Dragonfly, Lilo&Stitch, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Fern Gully, Stardust, Roman Holiday, Serenity, Shawshank Redemption, Super Troopers, Resident Evil, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, Hot Fuzz, Emperor's New Groove...yada yada yada
Modern Family, Ghost Hunters, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Workaholics, Jeopardy, Archer, Firefly, Daria, Who's Line, Burn Notice, Mythbusters, What Not to Wear, Angry Beavers, MLP: Friendship is magic....
Painting, paper making, cheat loom knitting, pottery, found art, photography, shoddy sewing, poetry, and any little thing I get on, pretty much any craft is fun for me.
Ok to break down "rainbow". A nice green is my all time favorite, but golden yellow is so perfect, and purple so bold and majestic, orange is so much fun, blue is so versatile and lovely and feminine, red is my LEAST favorite, I mean it has a place but it is most certainly not my favorite.
I like old dirty broken things.
