Hello! My name is Amber. I'm 35 and my house is basically a circus. I live with my boyfriend, two roommates, and my son Thomas. We also have two dogs, a foster dog, five cats, two guinea pigs, a hedgehog, and a fish. Like I said....circus.
Two years ago, I suddenly started experiencing a lot of random pain. It kept getting worse, so I went down the rabbit hole of diagnosis. Turns out I have Fibromyalgia. So that's fun. It keeps me in bed under heating pads a lot of the time and keeps me from working, which is super great for a type-A workaholic.
I still try to keep myself busy, however:
I am 'working on my novel.' This consists mostly of procrastinating on Facebook/playing video games instead of writing.
I volunteer with a small dog rescue. I get to spend a bunch of time with doggos and it's pretty damn great. I also foster for them.
I play a lot of video games. Mostly Fallout76 these days, but also Binding of Isaac, Bastion, Overwatch, Terraria, Sims 4, Stardew Valley, Oxygen Not Included, Darkest Dungeon, FFX10, Dead Island, Transistor, Papers Please, Fallout New Vegas, Don't Starve, Guacamelee!, Reus, Beat Hazard, and Glitch, just to name a few.
Oh- I'm a total board games nerd and spend a lot of my social time playing games. I was up to four game nights a week at one point, so I guess you could say board games and I are in a srs relationship. Worker placement is my favorite but I'm up to try nearly anything. (Dominion, Scythe, Euphoria, Charterstone, Above and Below, Unearth, Gloom, Resistance, Lords of The Waterdeep, Agricola, Galaxy Trucker, Ladies and Gentlemen, Sentinels, Coup, Boss Monster, Above and Below, Steampunk Rally, Bloody Inn, Betrayal At The House On The Hill)
These are a few of my favorite things:
dogs, narwhals, owls, rainbows, broadway, art, mermaids, libraries, star wars, marvel, board games, DnD, post-apoc, pasta, nail polish, disneyland, washi tape, bullet journaling, grilled cheese, hedgehogs, harry potter, yoga, music, adventure time, neil gaiman, true crime, blackout poetry, gin, succulents, doctor who, tea, deep sea angler fish, the ocean in general, honeycombs, hoarding craft supplies like some sort of dragon, hamilton, welcome to nightvale
The Matches, July Talk, Rilo Kiley, Nightwish, Sabaton, Murder by Death, Darren Korb, Panic! At The Disco, Neko Case, Ludo, Andrew Bird, Kinch, Tim Minchin, Paul and Storm, Muse, Jonathan Coulton, Electric Six, Kate Nash, Pentatonix, Fall Out Boy, Korn, Johnny Cash, Amanda Palmer, Amigo the Devil, Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer, Her Space Holiday, Regina Spektor, Professor Elemental, Nickel Creek, The Lonely Island, Lovage, Ylvis, and Childish Gambino.

I was an absolute flake on this website ten or so years ago, and if I could go back and undo those mistakes I would. I'd like to make amends however I can, and become an upstanding member of this community. I plan on jumping back in slowly and attempting to contact the people that I flaked on in the past, in the hopes of making it up to them somehow.
Update: 3/8/20- I have messaged the people who have been active on the site in the last six months about making it up to them. I've also contacted Swapbot admin to try to find out the best way to proceed.

Wow, Amberbrosovich, one of the first people to flake on me
