Pielimedog

My farmers wife quilt is mostly blues; some whites and some creams. I don't really have a favorite block so far; however I do really like any that have stars in them and I tend to be most satisfied with the more complicated paper pieced ones like Aimee. I don't have a favorite color - I really love all colors - however I am not particularly fond of golds (I love brown) just not mustardary browns. I do not like fabrics with metallics in them - not sure why maybe I find it distracting? I am also not a fan of Batiks. Some of my favorite fabric designers are Anna Maria Horner, Carolyn Freidlander, Amy Butler, Allison Glass, Kafe Fassett, and Heather Ross. I'm sure I have forgotten a bunch... I tend to like bright colors and I also adore solids. My Instagram name is pielimedog. I have NO allergies. I work full time as a Clinical Microbiologist at the Portland VA Medical Center in the US; but I live across the river in Washington state. My husband travels a LOT for work and I have an amazing 5 year daughter that makes me laugh every day. I grew up on the east coast and now I live on the west coast. I went to Art school in Brooklyn NY and then I grew up and went back to school again for what I do today, :) I have a dog that is 14 - she is a shepard/chow mix that I got at the pound and she likes to eat as often and as much as possible.
