I'm a 20-something graduate student in DC. Currently living with an absentee housemate and taking care of her adorable cat. I'm a huge pet lover and animal lover in general. I used to ride horses, but I haven't really since I moved to DC. I have a long held interest in Japan and South Korea - interested in every aspect including language, history, politics, social customs, entertainment, etc. I'm also a bit of a sci-fi/fantasy nerd and I love to read.

Too many... mainly fantasy, some of my long-time favorite authors: Robin McKinley (esp. The Blue Sword), Tamora Pierce (her Tortallan books), Isabelle Carmody, Walter Farley, Marguerite Henry, couple of my newer interests: Maria Snyder, Patricia Briggs.

I also am a manga fan. My favorite series: Bride of the Water God by Yun Mi-kyung (하백의 신부 by 윤미경), One Thousand and One Nights by Han SeungHi and Jeon JinSeok (천일야화 by 한승히 and 전진석), and Mars by Fuyumi Soryo (Mars by 惣領 冬実)

Some things I'm currently watching with varying consistency: Psych, NCIS, Chuck, White Collar, Numb3rs, The Big Bang Theory, Bones.

Will always love Firefly and am currently making my way through Star Trek: The Original Series.
