(12-9-12)I'm back after about a year long break from swapping. And it feels good to be back. I've missed meeting new people and keeping up old friendships and an empty mailbox is NO FUN.
I live in a rural area down in the "bootheel" of SE Missouri. Thus, my user name SE (Southeast) MO (Missouri) and I'm craftee with a twist (Kraftee).
I've been married for 43 years. We have 3 grown children and two grandsons. Our oldest grandson is 16 and our youngest is 14 months. Those boys are the apple of my eye.
I have lived in several different States in the US over the years. We also lived in Saudi Arabia waaayyy back in the early 80's. That was a wonderful experience. We were able to visit several Asian and European countries during that time.
I am not a pet owner or a smoker.
I was born a redhead and hope to "go out" that way also. With a little help from my hairdresser, that should be possible. :) Being a redhead, I've never enjoyed "fun in the sun" type activities. A few miserable sunburns in my youth made me realize that was not really fun.
Autumn is my favorite time of year. I enjoy walks in the woods and love the colors at that time of year. In fact, Autumn colors are my favorite colors for the clothes I wear and for my home decor. Different shades of green, golds, purple - have you ever noticed how "purple" some leaves get in the Autumn?
I grew up in the 50s and 60s and love old rock n roll such as "doo-wop", Elvis, Beatles, Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, Bobby Darrin and dozens of others from that era.
I also enjoy Celtic, Bluegrass, jazz, Rod Stewart, Harry Connick Jr. and some country.
Love reading and enjoy lots of different genres. Westerns are a favorite and I also enjoy mysteries and suspense. Also enjoy Debbie Macomber and other similar books. James Patterson, James Lee Burge, Janet Evanovich, John Grisham are just a few of my favorite authors. Carla Neggers - can't believe I forgot to add Carla Neggers!
Enjoy collecting vintage books, especially old Westerns. I have a few Zane Greys from the 30s and some old Westerns with beautiful embossed designs on the cover. Vintage poetry of any kind - just vintage is great. I love how they look on my shelves and I use them for display - stack 2 or 3 and put some interesting what-not on top or a small doily.
I watch very little television. For the most part my husband and I only watch movies and a few series that we watch from Netflix. The exception is "Castle". I love Castle! :)
There arent' many crafts I've not tried at one time or another. I wish that I was a lot more artistic, but I refer to myself as "just" being crafty.
Paper crafting is my main source of creativity.I don't scrapbook per se. I do enjoy creating small scrapbooks such as paper bag albums, or tag albums.
I do a little bit of small quilting and sewing projects also. I enjoy making felt projects and I dabble in creating jewelry.
I love re-purposing old odds and ends of jewelry into new, fun, creative objects.
Thrift store shopping is one of my favorite things to do. I find anything from wonderful bargains on clothes, or old jewelry for my hobbies, old linens to re-purpose, etc. Thrift store shopping is just like a treasure hunt!!
LIKES:
CANDY/TREATS Love milk chocolate candy a LOT more than dark chocolate. :) Cinnamon and mint flavored is good. Sweet n salty is good. DON'T LIKE: "gummy" anything, Skittles (UGH)
BEVARAGES: I enjoy trying out new flavors of coffee. As for tea, I particularly enjoy, English Breakfast Teas, Darjeeling and most black teas. Do NOT need herbal teas. (I have enough herbal to do me for awhile.)
MY "STYLE": I lean more toward shabby chic, rustic, country type home decor and crafty likes.
COLLECT: I have always collected roosters/hens. Leaning more toward smaller type things or images, because I'm running out of room for any large knick knack type items. Also linens embroidered with roosters/hens have become a favorite.
Santa Claus and Snowmen are always fun to receive at Christmas time. I prefer NOT to received religious type Christmas things. I am a Christian but believe that the Lord should be celebrated everyday and not just at Christmas time.
Old photos are good because I can use them for crafting purposes.
Amber colored glass or jewelry. Love actual amber jewelry and own a few pieces, but I can't resist picking up any kind of trinket if it's a shade of amber.
MISC. LIKES - giraffes - Cowboys/Old West and Native American anything -

I see you have not logged on for a month now, and have not clicked sent for the AL Made By You Stashbusters swap. I hope everything is ok. I also have to tell you I am really looking forward to making another 18 items if I have to angel this swap for 3 of your partners (I am the 4th). Wow.
Despite contacting you via p.m. twice, you have not responded and I have not received a rating for Layers of Flavour #2. I think it stinks when you take the time to make something you're happy with, send it off and get absolutely nothing in return, no comment, rating, nada. I am saddened by this lack of courtesy. I had high hopes because the comments and posts on your profile were nice. Oh well, there's always a first time - lucky me!
Thank you for the ribbon and jewelry odd bits grabbie, for the grabbie taggie. It was nice of you to send a little of both.
