I'm Krissy. I run the special education program at a 7th-12th grade school. I also own a photography company and an online college brand consulting company.
I grew up in Northern California and followed love which led me to Arizona in 2014. I'm recently engaged (August 2017) to a beautiful woman and proposed in her parent's backyard with a song I wrote on my ukulele.
My favorite things are the things that are handmade! Anything you make, draw or create, I am sure to love!
Vivid colors, rainbows, butterflies, dandelions, glitter, letters and anything and everything that is bright, bold and happy.
I love trees, forests and magical creatures.
I also love things that are in other languages or are from other cultures. I love learning about people around the world.
I love history and enjoy watching documentaries in my spare time (what little I have of it).
Reading and writing allow me to escape into other worlds, which I often take advantage of. I particularly love poetry, realistic fiction, nonfiction and fantasy.
Some of my all time favorite series are:
-Sabriel
-His Dark Materials
-Harry Potter
My favorite authors include:
-Torey Hayden
-Wayne Dyer
-Brene Brown
My favorite movies include:
-Anything with Tina Fey
-Star Wars
-Pitch Perfect
-Harry Potter
-Romantic Comedies
To unwind, I enjoy trying new craft techniques and doing zentangles.
I am also a Netflix afficianado. My favorite shows are typically sci-fi (Lost Girl and Firefly), filled with comfort characters (Gilmore Girls and Friends) and crime/detective shows (SVU, Quantico and Life).
I do many holiday swaps each year! I love anything that sparkles and cards that are written in non-English languages! I had someone ask, so I should probably include that all of our decorations are red, white, or silver including the ornaments on our tree. Iรขโฌโขm totally open to things that are other colors as well though. I also love snowflakes!
(Wishlist is further down the page)

Just wanted to tell you that your Haiku on a Postcard is on its way! I hope you enjoy...
Hi Krissy,
Just wanted to let you know that I put an envelope in the mail yesterday, headed to you in CA. I'm warning you in advance: I probably rambled quite a bit.

''Read my profile and write a comment''
Hiya Krissy, I'm one of your partners for this swap! Reading your profile you seem like a real daydreamer and someone who enjoys escapism :) I love to write so I relish any chance to run away also hehe ..I've just bought a lomo camera so I feel like a lil bit of a photographer atm, do you photograph anything specific? For me, if it moves I'll photo it!!
Have a great day - Pat x
Thanks for checking out my blog, I'm going to visit yours too! I got my bachelor's in liberal studies too! I found that it was easier to take what classes I wanted...and I still got a job and into grad school. I do have to explain to EVERYONE what a liberal studies degree is, but oh well! :)
"Read Profile and Leave Comment Swap"
I think it is beyond awesome that you work for a kids summer camp! Hopefully you saw some budding artists there! Did you do cool things with them or did you have to stick to popsicle stick picture frames? lol
Dropping by from read my profile swap! Yay! You're from the bay area. I just moved from there to sacramento county.
I like history too, I also got good grades for that.
Ooh, be sure to watch me tonight on channel 5 at 7pm, there is a special on sugar packet collecting :)
