The Tragic Threshold is an ongoing project with the purpose of rekindling individual correspondence through the mail.

This website exists to document art and letters that are sent through the post and maintain a public forum where they can be viewed. If you receive a letter or package from the Tragic Threshold, we encourage you to continue the chain of communication by either:

2. Or sending your own piece of mail to another party and submitting the images to us at [email protected] (please photograph both the front and back of your mail). If you would like your mail to be documented, and those whom you write to to be able to see our progress, please list our website: www.tragicthreshold.tumblr.com somewhere on your mail as a reference point.

We will be posting smaller project ideas during the coming months as well as open calls for specific submissions-so keep checking in with us!

-phrases/words in a new language

-unique fonts/typography

-WE LOVE silkscreened/etched/lithographed/etc. artwork

-something one might find at a yard sale
