My husband of 36+ years and 2 cats (Sydney and Murffee) and I live a peaceful life in rural Indiana. I am an evangelical Christian. I work part time, and love my solitude and find it in my hobbies of gardening, photography and paper crafting. I just love ATC's! I've just discovered matchboxes, and they may be just as addictive! I enjoy making cards and some scrapbooking, but ATC's are so quick,an enjoyable way to try new techniques, and I get to share art! I enjoy nature photography and often incorporate my photos into my art. I host swaps on another site (that is changing/closing) and am looking for another venue. I hope to trade more ATCs, especially internationally, and I would love to find a trader in Wales, the land of my heritage. (Owen!) I'm also interested in England, Scotland,Ireland, and any of the Caribbean Islands.
รขโขยฅThe Bible, specifically Proverbs. I love its wisdom and practical application for living.
รขโขยฅ"A Heart Divided", which I wrote! Published in 2006; An historical romance set in 1891. Based on the 47 original letters written by my great-grandmother. ISBN 1-4241-3750-0 just in case you're interested!
Gone With The Wind
Other than that, I really enjoy lots of paper crafting, scrapbooking, nature and gardening magazines, and am not a big reader!!
ATC's (I just love 'em!), Card-making, stamping, some scrapbooking, photography (especially nature photography). I try lots of different things...whatever strikes me at the time. It's not a 'craft', but I'm an avid gardener, too....perennials, herbs, container-gardens, grasses, pond garden...loooove my gardens and flowers! Garden memories, dreams, and photos get me through the sometimes very long Indiana winters!
Blue Herons
73 degree sunny breezy days
Anything by Marjolein Bastin. Her art is remarkable. I love her work.
Anything by Karla Dornacher. Just precious!
Anna Griffin papers and embellishments.
The color blue, and blues and greens together..... although I'm currently on a mint green and pale rose-pink kick....but basically 'peacock' and "Caribbean' colors.
My cats
My monogram " S "
The country; farmland, tranquil places.
Quiet, peaceful times
Dragonflies!
Black and white cows
Ice cream
Gardens and flowers....all kinds of flowers, ferns
Nature (except snakes. I hate snakes.)
The Amish culture.
Naps
Birds. I think they are remarkable and beautiful. Feathers.....they are remarkable and beautiful also.
Iced tea
Victorian things.
Wales. The Country...although I really loved seeing whales in Alaska...that was awesome!
Travel memories
Growing up on Jack Creek; Chesapeake Bay
Embellishments, glitter, ribbon, and fiber. You can never have too much of these!
Pine cones, holly, and winter greens.
Sea shells and beach treasures.
Mint, fresh mint especially.
Rural Americana....all things country, rusty, and rural.
Evil, dark, scarey, or wicked things.
capers, green peppers, Cajun and spicy Mexican food.
Halloween. Hate it.
The color orange, except for pumpkins and autumn leaves.
Santa Claus. Almost un-American I know, but Christmas is about the birth of Christ, not about Santa Claus. (I do like Polar Express, though. Can't explain it.....)
Astrology or the occult.
Crowds of people.
Heavy traffic....I'm a country girl!
Loud noise; anything loud, but especially loud music.
Things that are thoughtlessly thrown together and passed off as 'art'. I don't like images used from the web that are blurry, low-rez, poor-quality.
Being late or those who are late and don't have the courtesy to contact ahead....you know if you're going to be late for something.
I'm a very responsible swapper, and I take my trading seriously. I have never missed a deadline, and, if something should come up, I would always drop or contact the hostess with information. I think communication is key to successful trading. I'm really enjoying swapping as a hobby and way of adding art to my ATC collection, and value each trade as an opportunity to share. I usually mail my trades early. If you have not received your swap by the deadline, please contact me before posting a bad review and I'll do whatever I can. Thanks for trading with me.
I'm not a big movie person so it took me a while to think of some, but I LOVE.... Titanic Bridges of Madison County Witness Dirty Dancing Gone With The Wind An Officer and a Gentleman
