I love my dog!
I was born on the big island of Hawaii and spent some of my childhood running around barefoot with my cousins among the coffee and macadamia plants my family grew. I jokingly say there must be saltwater in my blood because it seems I cannot get too far from the ocean and be happy!....I now live just outside of San Francisco and on a clear night can hear the waves crashing from my bed. (And sometimes even the sea lions barking!) I love the smell of the ocean air and the beach!
I live with my boyfriend, James, our dog Chili and my red-eared slider turtle named Mr. Turtle. We enjoy the outdoors, riding motorcycles (my boyfriend has 3!) or in our ratrod, garage sales, and of course.....walking on the beach.
I have always been an animal person and have always had at least one dog in my life. I love dogs! In my spare time, I volunteer at a local dog rescue. I am the person that all my friends call when they have an animal question! I am allergic to to cats and rabbits but that doesn't stop me from liking them anyways.
I'm interested in:
Ravens or crows
Sugar skulls
Travel
Native people and their history, art, etc. (anything on Hawaiian history is awesome! Queen Liliuokalani-Hawaii last Queen, any of the King Kamehameha's)
Hula or Tatitian dance
Edgar Allan Poe
James Michener
Pin-up girls
Hot rods or Rat Rods
Stationary, rubber stamps, stickers, jewelry, books or magazines on any of the above subjects will be greatly loved!
LUVS: dogs, the beach, Hawaiian or tropical items (especially the vintage style stuff!), volunteerism, thrift stores, dark chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, biscuits, truffles, marzipan, cheese flavored snacks, unusual food or candy from other countries, gummy candy, deco tape, embellishments, stickers (especially Kawaii flakes, scratch n' sniff, puffy or scrapbook types. NO reward or religious ones though!), paper punches, glitter glue, candles, gel pens, permanent markers, skincare samples (cleansers, eye creams and serums are my favorite but I like to try everything!) handmade soaps and individual foot soak or facial mud packs.
NO's/Please don't send me: White chocolate, hard candies, sour candies, peppermint (except for peppermint cocoa or coffee), postcards that aren't mailed, reward or teacher type stickers, ATCs (unless it's in my specified theme), or yarn. I really don't use pencils or erasers either.
Pressed flowers, Flower arranging, scrapbooking, I'm learning to sew quilts, but still a newbie.
I love Deco's-but I don't know if that's really considered a craft.
I collect stickers and especially love the Kawaii sticker flakes, puffy, unusual or scrapbooking type. Dark and fruit chocolates, truffles, small cakes or cookies-unusual or local products are always good.
Right now, I'm wishing for:
Inchies ( I would maybe like to start a collection!!)
Quality pot holders
Paper flowers
Skeleton leaves
Washi tape
Colorful ink/stamp pads
Wood mounted stamps
Paper punchers that are one inch or bigger
Handmade soaps especially with goats milk or oatmeal
Stickles or any other type tubed glitter glue
Truffle chocolates
Postcards of San Francisco, or the California coast, Fb's, Deco's, Slams, Stickerbags, Stickerbooks, Goodie Bags, unused birthday/greeting cards (the good kind, with a value of $2-$5 each) stickers, stationary, pressed pennies, asian candy or snacks, homemade organic dog treats or homemade envelopes.
I truely believe that we are all doing this because it's supposed to be fun. I love opening my mailbox and seeing packages from all around the world. That being said, I try my best to steer clear from dramatic BS and the people that love it. I realize that having lots of hens in the coop (lets face it, almost ALL hens!) there is going to be some friction, BUT, I'm determined to not let differences and abrasive personalities get under my skin and keep me from the love of swapping. I hope the same for you :)
