I'm married with 2 lovely girls- ages 4 & 7. My family is the best and most important part of my life! Becoming a mom has become the most wonderful, enriching experience I could ever imagine.
I have known my husband since high school and he is also my best friend. I work full time as a database analyst, so I spend a lot of time in front of the computer!
I can be very shy in person and have a hard time conversing with people I dont know or trust, but once you get to know me, I open up!
One thing I can say is that I'm a very responsible person and, whether in my professional or personal life, I take my committments very seriously. And that absolutely includes swap-bot! I will not flake.
IAlso, since I do take my swap-bot responsibilities very seriously, please contact me first before rating if you haven't received something (MAIL OR EMAIL). I know how easy it is to accidentally delete an email or have something filtered to spam.
Sci Fi/Fantasy /historical fiction/ alternate history/some horror/ some espionage/adventure - Harry Potter books rank as my favorites- love Stephanie Meyer- The Twilight books & The Host!! The Dexter Series, Sword of Truth (Terry Goodkind), Mercedes Lackey, Stephen King, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, vintage Anne Rice, Robert Newcomb, Anne Bishop, Donna Tartt, Wally Lamb, Dean Koontz, Nelson Demille, Ken Follett, Sue Monk Kidd, Paulina Simmons, Suzanne Collins, Diana Gabaldon
I love to read- I can never be without a book! I have lost sleep too many times to count because I just cant put my book down!
Mostly the book has to grab me- I have to care for the characters. I dont really care that much for pages and pages of descriptions. I love when there are some strong characters that fall in love and overcome obstacles. My favorite books have to have a happy ending because I dont want to put the book down feeling depressed!!!
And as you can see by the types of books I picked, I want to be in another world for a while- something apart from reality. Something different and interesting.
Sci Fi/Fantasy/ Historical Periods - love all the Harry Potter movies, Labyrinth, Rob Roy, Gladiator, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Twilight, Matrix (1st one only), Blood & Chocolate, Ladyhawke, Far & Away, Princess Bride, The Ring, the 1st 2 Spiderman movies
I want to be transported into a fantasy world for a little while, just like with reading. Thats why I try to stay away from your standard tearjerkers!
I dont like what passes for romantic comedy these days but I love to have romance be a part of the larger story!
Anything that is different- NO procedurals, medical dramas or legal dramas - Lost, Chuck, True Blood, Dexter, Dollhouse, Big Love, Burn Notice, Battlestar Galactica (I will miss this show A LOT!), Ugly Betty, Legends of the Seeker, Buffy & Angel (I miss you!!), Torchwood, Fringe
I want to be able to follow a story week to week and see characters develop and grow- not have everything tied up with a ribbon at each show's end. Plus I just find medical shows too depressing!
Some reality shows- So you think you can dance, American Idol, Project Runway- I prefer my reality shows about creative people who actually have talent and aren't just useless eye candy who want to be on tv.
Used to Crochet and also cross stitch, though I haven't had much time lately. My favorite piece I made was a huge American Flag afghan- it just took a lot of time putting all those squares of stars together and getting the thing done. I used to wake up early and work on it every morning, before I had to go to work. I guess I've gotten lazy!!
If I can help it, I would never want to let someone down, who is counting on me. Thats why its so upsetting when others dont do the same.
Below, is my list of flakers:
If anyone wants to angel me, I would appreciate it so much!!

Love all kinds from country to rap to celtic! I am always listening to music, throughout my work day and then at home, to unwind! I usually match my music to my mood.
The key requirement is that it has some true emotion behind it and that it really makes you feel something.
Some of my favorite artists: Loreena McKennitt, Tori Amos, Green Day, ABBA, Blackmore's Night, Amy Winehouse, Evanescence, Daughtry, David Cook, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Carrie Underwood, Heather Nova, Poe, Live, The Offspring, Shakira, Sarah Brightman, 80s music
Anything with mushrooms, strawberries, dark chocolate - chinese food, broccoli, cheese
PIZZA- the perfect food- can eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Candies- Jolly ranchers, starbursts, sour patch kids, anything sour & fruity.
My 6 year old loves to dance. she is in several dance classes, has taken ballet & tap and she is just a little performer! She has no fear on stage or anything! She loves all ballerina related stuff. She is very curious and has a huge imagination. The games she comes up with just amaze me! She loves to make her own jewelry like little bracelets and stuff and she loves to make greeting cards to give to people, for no special reason, just to say she loves them! She is actually far more crafty than I am!! Maybe she'll be on swap-bot someday!
My 4 year old wants to do everything that her big sister does. She is very active, energetic and loud! She has her own point of view and makes it known. This child is not afraid of anyone! She loves to wear dresses and she accessorizes them with like 10 necklaces,5 bracelets, a hat, a crown, a boa, anything else she can find. She is such a funny little lady! She also loves to dance and sing and she is so friendly that everyone gets a big beaming smile. She loves all the Disney Princesses and Fairies.
