i am a baby boomer. i am married to a retired USCG Capt. 1 cat who is super spoiled. i love anything from the 50's and 60's. They call it "the oldies" now.

i garden, hike, fish, scrapbook, letterbox, volunteer in the National Refuges, bike, row, am a Lion, wear stoopid costumes, organize events and generally take a lot of photos of things i find interesting. Mystery novels are my favorite reads.

I love watching the cake decorating shows, the organizational shows and anything nature.

i live on an island in Alaska which presents itself with many challenges. One of best things about living in a small community is the idea of swapping or as we call it repurposing.

i once thought about getting into digital scrapbooking but soon realized i love to get my fingers inky, messy, full of glue, paint, or glitter. i love the feel of ripping paper or tearing some mulberry. The satisfaction of coloring something only to smudge it with my hands so the image is better gives me great pleasure. Having to wash my hands many times over when i'm doing a project means i'm having fun.
