Hi everybody!
There is nothing more than important about me than that I am a momma to a beautiful little boy named Henry. He's a 3rd grader, and so funny. I am the wife of Nick, who is the joy of my days. Those 2 fellas are my everything.
My hobbies are basically anything that can be done as a family. We love to bike, kayak, camp, go to the beach, go out for dinner, play with our dogs, watch movies, making crafts, and we are always up to try anything new.
I really like all kinds of music. I am really blessed to know people who are in several local bands, so I often get to hear great music live.
Some of my favorites are Janis Joplin, Carole King, CCR, Queen, and of course the Beatles.
Because I have an 8-year-old, I have recently become acquainted with Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. They're so great for his age group and perfect for me, because I love Greek history. What a pleasure to share a good story with my son!
Otherwise I love James Mitchner. I have a collection of first editions or signed copies of his books. I re-read ALASKA every summer.
I just love the weight of a hard-bound book in my hands, and the satisfying slam of the covers for the last time. It's a good thing I live 2 blocks from the local library.
Princess Bride is my all time favorite movie followed closely by Mystery Alaska. I love all really great stories though, especially ones that are darkly humorous, or have a twist at the end.
I have recently discovered that if I can't make it, I likely don't want it.
With this freeing new philosophy I have learned to make so many interesting things! I love to make beautiful meals, cleaning products, health products, home decor, clothing, and gifts for my nearest and dearest.
We just started collecting postcards for 2012. Our collection is growing very quickly. Here is a Pinterest board where you can see our progress.

We like our postcards with a nice little note, and some fun stamps. Please save yourself the additional postage, and put my cards directly in the mail. (If the swap is for multiple cards, in an envelope, please pack them blank. I will use them for the kiddos in my kindergarten class! They're age 4 and 5, they like EVERYTHING:))
We love all postcards, but my favorites are space, art, local, history, and cityscapes. The boys like motorcycles, maps, flags, animals, food, everything :) It's a family collection, so send us something fun!
