Hello! And thanks for reading my profile!
I am back to work for the school year so I will be MIA for a bit. I will stop by for visits but participate in very very little swaps. Nothing against yas, just lack of time!
If you do NOT receive my swap please PM me first before rating!! I have never had a poor rating and take great pride in that!
I always send my swaps within a few days of partnering - much before swap deadline!! ALWAYS!
I keep track of my swaps in my trusty little... er... BIG binder (almost obsessively), sent by me and you, received by me and you, etc... It's wonderfully organized!
I would like to know YOU got my swap so if I PM you, I'm not just seeking a rating, I would like to know my swap actually arrived.
If you are reading this, can you please make a comment to the right of here? (it's like fan mail!) Just a hi, hello, penguin picture or something fun! It is clear, via swaps I receive, that people are indeed reading my profile so, THANK YOU!! :p
Profile Last Updated: October 16th, 2019
I'm Beth, thirty-seven and I am a baker!
I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and have a 3 year old cat named Butter and a 13 year old daughter named Faith.
I enjoy many things including stickers, washi, pen palling, penguins, TV, travel/exploring, purple, etc... I also love to decorate my envelopes for swaps and pals. I also love to make and receive flipbooks.
I have been pen palling since I was 11. I am not actively looking for new pals. I don't have a large number of pals, by choice. Asking me to become pen pals is 50/50. It is nothing against you if I decline, I typically have a lot on my plate and tend to keep a close eye on my limits.
I would really like a pal from Australia. I had a couple many moons ago and would love another again.
When I am on the search for new pals, I am interested in writing (and reading) medium to long letters, people who have some of the same interests as me, ladies ages 30 and up, who like being creative, etc... Also, someone who will write back "right away" (ish). I pen pal to make friends and I find it hard to get to know someone if I have to wait a couple of months or longer for a reply. Personally, my goal is to write back within a week but life does sometimes "get in the way". LOL
I love mail! You probably do too tho. :p
I save/cut out my addresses that you write on my swap envelopes. I don't know why, I just have a huge collection of them now dating back years and many addresses ago! So, if you care to, decorate it up! Simple or a lot! I also prefer actual postage stamps on envelopes!
I am currently looking for long term swaps pals!
I would like to exchange short letters/notes so we can get to know each other somewhat. Types of swaps I am looking for are sticker related, washi samples, and happy mail/profile-based flat swaps. Not to say we can't arrange something other tho!
Region specifics:
Canada, I would love Canadian swaps! Mostly because shipping is much cheaper. Up to 100g / 3.5oz per swap.
USA, up to 50g / 1.75oz but even up to 100g / 3.5oz is alright.
International, is ok. I must limit it to only 30g / 1oz as postage is much higher than within Canada and to the USA.
I do sign up for a lot of international swaps so I guess it's only "luck" when I get to send within Canada or to the USA. :p
I have had many issues in the past with my swaps not arriving to their international destinations and vice versa. Lately, I mostly just experience delays.
I am usually always open to private one time swaps as well, just send me a PM!
I want to say I am not overly picky but by making this list, maybe I am? :p
General:
* Rude people
* Onions, coconut, and most tea
* the color Red
Stickers:
The only exceptions to this list is penguin stickers.
* Puffy/Foam Stickers
* Epoxy, dimensional Stickers
* Word only teacher stickers (doesn't mean I don't like words on stickers)
* Bent or folded sticker sheets
* Cut sticker sheets to fit an envelope (unless the swap states it is ok or you ask first, thanks!)
Washi:
* red tape (I will still use it, just not my fave)
* religious tape (unless it has the word "Faith")
* plastic tape. It's not washi, I won't use it and no one likes it (penguin tape is fine)
* Deco tape/dollarstore "washi". I've become less and less a fan of it.
Postcards sent blank in envelope. I only collect them written on and stamped.
Notecards, really small ones! I can't mail stuff in those! LOL
Allergies:
I don't generally do food swaps anymore but...
* I am gluten intolerant
* Bananas
* Garlic
... but not limited to:
General:
* Washi samples
* Vintage & modern postcards (mostly from Canada, USA and Europe)
* Stationery paper & envelopes
* Unused greeting cards (Christmas, birthdays & sympathy mostly)
* Used postage stamps
Stickers:
* Vintage sheets & Sandylion/other Mods.
* Loose stickers (random or specific)
(50 or more at a time. 100+ would be better)
* Sticker Flakes
* Sticker sheets (random or specific, 3 sheets very minimum. 5+ would be better)
* Variety
* Cartoon characters
* Holidays (Christmas and Halloween mostly)
* Puffy type loose stickers
* Random word loose stickers
Things, in general, I would enjoy receiving:
It is OK to send me:
but I don't really care to swap for them (does that make sense?). These can be included in flat or profile-based swaps and as freebies.
Washi, in general:
Stickers, in general:
For Pen Palling:
Stickers have been my life since I was a kid! They may not be my top priority these days but I do still love them a lot!
My list is so long because I have them organized & sorted into albums for each specific type. I have been perfecting it for years! Some I do not collect anymore as my albums for them are over crowded, so please see my lists as follows!
My Official List: Bears, Bees, Birds, Birthday, Butterflies, Easter, Cats, Christmas, Dinosaurs, Disney, Dogs, Elephants, Farm Animals, Fish, Flowers, Food, Frogs, Giraffes, Halloween, Hearts, Ladybugs, Monkeys, Music, My Little Pony, Penguins, Pokemon & Digimon, Rodents & Woodsie animals, Santa, ScoobyDoo, Sea Life, Smiley Faces, Snowflakes, Snowmen, Stars, Stickeroni guy, Tinkerbell, Turtles, Winnie the Pooh, Zoo animals.
What I am looking for most: Bats, CareBears, Beavers, Bees, Birds, Cats, Chickens, Cows, Crocodiles, Dinosaurs, Disney (ANY), Dolphins, Ducks, Elephants, Fish, Foxes, Frogs, Giraffes, Hamsters, Hippos, Horses, JellyFish, Ladybugs, Leopards, Lions, Mermaids, Mice, Monkeys, Music (notes, instruments, band stickers), My Little Pony, Octopus, Penguins, Pigs, Pokemon & Digimon, Polar Bears, Rhinos, Raccoons, Rats, Sanrio, ScoobyDoo, Sharks, Smiley Faces/Emojis, Snowflakes, Snowmen, Spiders, Squirrels, Starfish, Stickeroni guy, Tigers, Turtles, TV/Fictional/Cartoon Characters, Whales, Winnie the Pooh (disney/non-disney), Zebras.
I have been flaked on by few and not rated by many. A long time ago, I did have a section "shaming" people but I consider myself to be a nicer person than that now.
I do always rate! Having said that, you may not always get a heart from me (you likely will) and I will rate a 3 if you send late without notifying me and a 1 if it just never arrives.
I don't typically respond to ratings as I am usually logged out when I read them. So, in advance, THANK YOU for the rating! It is very much so appreciated! Having said that, I won't just ignore you if you inquired about something specific in a rating. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile!
