About my "1s"
May 7, 2024
Wow, I haven't logged on in a long time! Two of the one raters haven't logged on in awhile, either. The third I have reached out to, hoping to receive an address so I can make up a long lost swap.
As of 7/11/2014, it should have been received by now, but the recipient has not logged on since 5/7. As you will see, the rating for the other partner on this swap has been changed to a "3". Thank you!!!
I'm married and have an adult son. (August, 2000) I'm currently working on my Masters degree, and own and operate a combination tabletop game and cross stitch store. I like writing letters, swapping, almost any papercraft, cooking, baking, cross stitch, cats, and making lists. I also like to read when I have time. I'm finding more and more that I don't have time to do many of the fun things I like, so another "hobby" I have is trying to get organized and manage my time better. I am currently on a very restrictive diet/get healthy plan, try to walk/run. lift weights, and keep bees, which has nothing to do with the other three.
I will listen to almost any music. Never been really big on heavy metal or country, though.
Contemporary romcoms, Self Help, organizing, history of food, cookbooks (organizations, clean eating, healthy eating), suspense, mystery, outdoorsy, gardening...almost anything!
Light romance/comedy. Some action.
Hallmark Christmas Movies, The Amazing Race, 600 lb Life, Catfish, Ghosts, and in season, Cincinnati Reds Baseball!
Cross stitch, planners/Bujo, Junk Journaling, crochet...other paper crafts. I'll try almost anything once, and if I like it, I'll keep doing it!
Since a lot of the swaps I think look interesting are for postcards, I thought I should list some of my favorites...
I think it would be cool to get a card from every UNESCO sight. Thats a lot of cards!
I'd also like to get a map card of every state and a card with the State Capital Building from every state.
Otherwise, I like recipe cards, landmarks, scenic views, lighthouses, historic buildings, art, sunsets, animals, etc. I'm not big on cartoony or "novelty" cards, though.
I like my cards stamped and mailed as a postcard. Sometimes the stamp is the most interesting part!
Things I would LOVE to receive include (but are not limited to...) --
Glass sead beads
Unusual glass/ceramic/fimo beads in sets of 6
Hand made soap
Brads and eyelets for papercrafts
Frankincense
Mint tea, flavored teas -- decaffeinated or herbal. I cannot have caffeine.
Asian ephemera
Used stamps (Non USA)
Anything Chococat or Badtz Maru
Post it note and flags
Cool or unusual paperclips
magnetic bookmarks
Fun pens, pencils and markers
Fortune Cookie Fortunes
Cats
Honeybees

No way! Someone else collects "fruit stickers"!! How do you display them? I stick mine on a piece of cardstock and put them in a 3-ring binder. I try to keep them organized according to fruit. Everyone thinks I'm crazy--actually I think I am too (but I don't think you are :).
