I want to start out slow here and am finding my way around. I have ventured into the forums (a little scary all the drama that seems to be there). I have played in a few games. So far, I have joined a few swaps that were/are Pinterest themed, just to get my toes wet. I think that with a new month (July) approaching, I am ready to take on some actual, mailed swaps!! I am super excited.

I enjoy making greeting cards, notecards, envies, invitations and party decorations (banners, centerpieces, etc). I love exchanging POSTCARDS (of all kinds). I really, really like ones of airports, bridges, lighthouses, multi-view, skylines, sunsets and waterfalls. I have a background and an education in Graphic Design. I absolutely enjoy everything about photography (even developing it) and the art of capturing life's randomness on film (and digital); keeping precious memories alive!! Any and all photography themed items are much appreciated, especially old photos (sepia or black and white).

I enjoy exchanging recipes but seem to have only an occasional "sweet tooth". I do love APPLES, fruits and more natural sugars than refined or artificial ones. Blech. I also love penguins, OWLS, zebra, elephants, hippos, giraffe and cardinals. I love day trips or weekends away and often loose all track of time in books, bookstores and libraires, in zoos and in museums. I love my collection of touristy T-shirts and trying new places and things to eat. I love my veggies (especially salads) but I do also eat meat. I love lyrics and upbeat/acoustic tunes. I lean more towards warm and bright colors (red, orange and YELLOW) than lighter shades.

I tend to doodle hearts, a lot. I see hearts everywhere, in clouds, in leaves, in potato chips, in shadows...in all kinds of places!! They are my "good luck" sign. Doodle me a heart or some hearts and I promise to love 'em and keep them forever!!

I also love words, especially dictionaries. I love games and game nights!! I have approx. 70-80 games (cards, words, board). I also like Shel Silverstein and DR. SUESS books/poetry, a lot. I lean towards and adore all things quirky, off center, open minded, odd, out of the box, random and often misunderstood.

I am NOT interested in anything girly, glittery, smokey, cosmetic, artificial in scent or in flavor, most modern (pop or country) music, political or in any commercially licensed characters (other than Dr. Suess ones), No Kawaii, Hello Kitty, Disney...

I live my life doing things from the "heart of my bottom", because my bottom is much larger than my heart ever will be.

I come from strong Christian roots but I do have my own independence, spirituality, faith and my own set of "wings" I prefer the King James version of the Bible, when it comes to verses. I am both spiritual and open minded. Yes, it IS possible. Didn't Jesus not only say, but command to "love everyone"?? I believe in BALANCE, in hope, in unconditional love and in earned respect!!

I am the type that will try anything at least once, twice if I like it. More than twice if I fall in love with it. I wear my heart on my sleeve and love to send and to receive "happy mail". Anything is better than a bill requesting money. Am I right? I have seen much but there is still much for me to see and to do... so here I am. -- AS.
