Hello! I'm a 35 year old female and I live in Texas with my 9 year old Shihtzu named Starbucks. Yes, I named her after the Starbucks coffee. Long story, but at the time I got her I was going through a really difficult time in my life, and during that time going to Starbucks before work was always the highlight of my day because the people who worked there were so nice to me. When I got my dog I just had to name her Starbucks because I felt like the people who worked at that specific location helped me through a tough time without even knowing it, and naming my dog that was kind of like a tribute to them.

I recently moved back to Texas. I grew up here, but I have been living in Northern California for the past 7 years. I adore Cali, but decided to return to Texas to be closer to family and to take my dream job. I am a social worker at a children's hospital in Austin. My job is pretty intense, so in my free time I enjoy relaxing and connecting with friends. I'm a very laid back person and extremely silly/quirky; I've been known to randomly start dancing and singing at any given moment.

I love making new friends, and am super excited to be a part of swap-bot so I can connect with people around the world in different ways! Swap-bot is the perfect place for me to share my love for crafting and creativity with others. I take my time with every swap I do so that it's meaningful for my partner. Incubus has always been my favorite band, I've seen them in concert seven times. Punk rock is my favorite music genre, with The Distillers being my favorite all time punk band. I like all kinds of music though and am not ashamed to sing along to Call Me Maybe. Music and singing is a passion of mine, so I always keep my mind open to new music/songs that I might like.

Anything horror, but not the bloody gory kind of horror that they do nowadays, I like the real scary stuff like Halloween, Carrie, and Pet Semetary. I also like dark movies like movies done by David Lynch, such as Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive.

My guilty pleasure is reality tv. I work 12 hour shifts, so it's nice to come home and watch mindless tv! Right now I'm also really into The Mindy Project.
