I'm a Sicilian, Irish, and Guyanese Texan, who is NOT a Longhorn. I attended university at USC, and absolutely loved living in LA. I've also lived in the East End of London, Perth (Western Australia, not Scotland), and Brisbane.
I love to travel, but am currently back in Austin, Texas, which is where I grew up. I love to cook: I was born and raised vegetarian, though I do cook meat for my husband and friends - no shellfish though, I'm allergic!
I like canning (and love to make cute labels or tags for my jars) and eventually I hope to get a Harsch crock so that I can make my own sauerkraut.
I also love working with paper - making cards, labels, stamping, etc.. To me, there's nothing quite as lovely as something that is packaged in a thoughtful, lovely way. Yes, I DO love brown paper packages, tied up with string (though I hate that movie)!
I love clean lines and modern design, but also adore things that are more traditional that you can tell were made with care: knitted caps (I secretly want one of those extra large slouchy ones you always see Kiera Knightley wearing), jewelry, cards.
I love Celtic culture (I lived in London for a long time, and my husband is from Scotland) - so I'm a fan of scarves, headbands, anything made of tartan. I collect British themed things - phone boxes, Tardises, etc.. - and things that have the original, Keep Calm and Carry On slogan on them.
I also love Australian themed things - mostly because all of these things remind me of my travels and my family abroad.
My biggest loves are my family, my dogs (have three), and West Ham United FC.
