Wishing all much love and happiness in 2018! I am back after a lengthy break. Last year I had issues for several weeks with a group of mail that never was received from several swaps. I re-sent all and everyone was extremely kind and understanding except for one individual who gave me my one and only 3. I was reluctant to try any swaps again for some time, but I have put my positive hat back on and will slowly dip my little toe back in the water.

5/4/17 : Yesterday was the one year anniversary of my mother's death and I spent the weekend going through everything in the home that I grew up in. It was a very emotional and exhausting process. When I returned home yesterday from the trip my kitchen counter was covered with happy mail that my husband had laid out for me to see when I came in the door. It brought me a lot of joy during a time of struggle and I am so appreciative of belonging to this community of thoughtful people.

I am married to my soulmate and have two talented daughters, 18 and 21. My oldest daughter is a baker for Panera ( not good for my diet) and my youngest is getting ready to graduate and wants to be a music teacher. I have worked my entire life in the mental health field and currently am the supervisor for a day program for adults with chronic mental illness. I feel fortunate to have found my calling and still love what I do! We have three fur babies- two Boston Terriers and a black Puggle who thinks she is a Rotweiler. They pretty much rule the house.

I have dabbled in all sorts of crafts since I was a little girl and love the contentment that creating something brings. Currently, I am loving art journaling and collaging in my many traveler's notebooks. I have a nice stash of Jane Davenport supplies and have enjoyed creating a few mixed media girls. I'm also trying to use my stash of planner supplies to actually get organized, but seem to keep switching planners. For my birthday this year, I gave myself the gift of Willowing's Life Book 2018 and even though it just started New Year's Day, I am loving it! I have let the hustle and stress of everyday life sidetrack me from my creative self for some time now, so this has been a joyful return!

I have every eclectic tastes in music- enjoy just about everything but country. Some of my favorites: Lenny Kravitz, Billie Holiday, Stevie Nicks, Muse, the Killers, Michael Franti, Coldplay, Lana del Rey, Bob Marley, Pink, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars, and Beats Antique...

Anything that is mean-spirited, whether by words or action.

Do not underestimate a moment of your kindness- It has the power to change lives in ways you may never know.

I used to be an avid reader as a child ( my favorites back then - The Little Prince, The Secret Garden, Miss Happiness and Miss Flower) I don't read as often as I should but do enjoy Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Virginia Wolfe, and Anais Nin. On the flip side, I enjoy the poetry of Rainer Maria Milke, T.S. Eliot and Rumi.
