All-time favorites are The Hobbit, Watership Down, The Once and Future King, Where the Wild Things Are...will add more as they come to me.
New favorites: Pope Joan (don't knock the title - it's an EXCELLENT read), The Red Tent, West With the Night, Memoirs of a Geisha...will add more here as I remember :)
More: The Help, A Song of Fire and Ice (Game of Thrones), Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible Voyage
My Life as a Dog, Little Miss Sunshine, The Birdcage, Billy Elliot, of course LOTR trilogy, Finding Nemo...okay I will add more when my memory will allow.
More: The Princess Bride
Wish I could try and do it all. Love anything that is created by hands. I've thrown clay, sculpted, drawn, painted, stamped, glued, stitched, knitted, crocheted...probably more, if I could remember.
Things as I remember them: Origami - love this! Photography
NEW - Bookbinding, printing, calligraphy, paste papers and paper marbling.
When I have the chance I like Big Bang Theory, The Middle, HGTV, Food Network, ID Discovery...and likely more.
More: Modern Family, Game of Thrones
Okay, in a former life I was an elementary school teacher with an excellent memory. Now I'm a homeschooling mom working my way out of a job. My son is attending community college part-time as part of his high-school program. In addition to all the above, I also like to surf the internet. That's about all I can remember right now ;)
Update: I've gotten into bookbinding, which I love, love, LOVE. I also am trying my hand at paper marbling and paste papers. In any remaining spare time I practice calligraphy and photography. I also love to read.
I will ALWAYS give a 5 for a swap that was mailed and completed according to swap criteria. It does not matter whether all or none of it came from my "likes" list, if it makes the swap specifications and I get it - you get a 5. If I did not rate you that means I have not received your mailing. I will never flake. If you did not receive your swap from me, let me know. I will do what I can to make it right.
Cats, nature (trees! leaves!), butterflies, books (favorites are mysteries, any story with quirky dysfunctional families/individuals that have some endearing quality, well done period pieces/historical fiction, some fantasy and sci-fi, Roald Dahl - and I'm not sure what else), cool bookmarks, beautiful photos or postcards (which can be used as bookmarks ;), good drawing pencils, color pencils, ink pens, small notebooks - bought or handmade, lined or unlined, unique & beautiful papers (no more designer scrapbook paper - I have PLENTY, thanks) - washi, origami, handmade, and/or personally decorated/designed paper (I'd even love paper printed or handwritten with a foreign language - i.e. not English), etc.
I think that is about it for my likes for now. Will add more as my tastes change and/or remember.
New: Calligraphy, bookbinding, photography.
Added: I just joined some envelope swaps, so I wanted to add some specifics on paper. If you are sending me something from outside the US, I love anything that is uniquely from your country, whole labels from anything - food, office products, etc., pieces of newspaper, newsletter, magazine, etc., basically anything that has something written on it in your language and/or nice drawings & illustrations.
I also love vintage.
I also love personal bits of self-created art. I am collecting ATC's and decorated tags.
I love clock faces, clocks, and anything with clocks on it.
I love old looking world maps - or just old maps. If you're from another country - any map from your area is great.
Postcards: Anything that is from your area is A+ great. I also love it when you use stamps on the PC :) I've noticed that I've gotten the same swap partners - sometimes multiple times - on PC swaps. If I have sent you the same PC (describe it to me) more than once - let me know and I will send another, different PC
If you are from another country I would love a small flag, flag symbol or flag sticker from you.
Foreign postage stamps - used or unused.
I love many things from Japan - origami (books and/or paper), kawaii, notebooks, pens, newspaper, basically anything from Japan would be great.
If you are in the UK, I LOVE Curly Wurlys.
I'm a Christian - however I despise when Christianity is used to promote hate, elitism, division, racism, and righteousness above compassion. Do not send anything that would promote this. Anything else I will happily accept.
If you took the time to read this, thank you :)
My favorite colors are cool tones, with deep blue being my absolute favorite.
