UPDATE January, 2023: so 2021 & 2022 were washouts for swapping. Iโm finally beginning to emerge from my cocoon. Weโll see how long this continuesโฆ..
UPDATE April, 2021: after taking most of 2020 off and living in a COVID cave, I was in the hospital twice in February, 2021. I'm beginning to feel the need to return to swap-bot; so here I am.
PLEASE contact me if you have NOT received a swap from me in a timely manner. I always send my swaps by the due date. If you have not received a swap, I will GLADLY resend. So, please contact me before rating a 1 or 3.
My favorite mail art is sending/receiving postcards, both store-bought & handmade. I enjoy sending the cards through the mail WITHOUT an envelope -- live life dangerously!!!
I love birds, real & crafted. I have a cockatiel who has been my pet for about 19 years. I love to craft with birds -- I have various rubber stamp bird images (from desert dweller - quail & roadrunner to tropical storks of various kinds). I love die cutting bird images & sewing them on postcards & ATC's.
FAVORITE Books: science fiction, mysteries.
Favorite authors: CJ Cherryh, Deborah Harkness, Dana Stabenow
I've crafted most of my adult life; I've quilted, cross-stitched, scrapbooked (including Project Life) and now my biggest passion is for paper-crafting. I make lots of greeting cards, ATC's and post-cards. My adult daughter & I will craft together -- we made ATC's as thank you gifts for her co-workers. I have recently gotten a Gelli plate and am attempting to learn more about monoprinting.
I love earth tones -- browns, greys, greens, blues. I'll tolerate pink but it's NOT at the top of the favorite colors list!!! I'm NOT a fan of neons, though I'm sure my young adult granddaughter would love it!!!
Postage stamps, washi tape, book paper (new and/or vintage), baker's twine, unusual ephemera, birds (who knew, right?), butterflies, flower die cuts -- any of these items in earth tones will be MOST welcome.
I'm a dietitian by training and have recently retired from the work-a-day world. I LOVE food and LOVE receiving food packaging/magazine advertisements from overseas. Some of my favorites that I've gotten in swaps are just food ads torn out of British & Aussie magazines; the packaging from food products in So. America & UAE. Sounds silly, but one of my favorite pen holders is the peanut butter container that I purchased in Canada > 20 years ago. Skippy is ubiquitous but it's cooler from Canada. :)

Hi Margaret! Just letting you know that I mailed out today a replacement for the AAA:Say Something ATC that never arrived. This time I went to the post office counter and had him hand cancel it in front of me so it better make it. It should take a week at the very most to arrive in Arizona from Oregon. Here's hoping this one arrives!
Hi Margaret! Nice to make the connection! I saw you in the alter a photo swap :) Looking forward to swapping! -Julia-
