My name is Michelle. I am 31 years old, and live in Tacoma, WA with my husband, cat Ridley, and dogs Otto and Diego.

I am an architect, and I am really interested in the structures around us, both man-made and natural.

In my free time, I enjoy creating things in many different medias: drawing, painting, collaging, knitting, sewing, jewelry design, digital design, cooking and baking. I am an artist at heart, but definitely need some development.

I also like spending time in nature. On weekends, we go for hikes in different parks, to see all wonderful things that Washington State has to offer. I also have adopted 80+ houseplants that keeps the outdoors around me in my home at all times.

I've been really into ATCs lately. I love restricting yourself to such a small canvas to make a work of art, and I love looking back on ATCs that I've received and the different techniques used.

I gravitate towards mixed media art and collaging. I also enjoy drawing, mostly with ink and marker, and painting.

I used to be big on knitting and jewelry design, but haven't had the time to pick that up.

I want to start doing rock painting. I've seen photos of people's inspirational rock gardens, with quotes for people to take, and it seems like such a wonderful and positive idea. I want to create a bunch and make my own inspiration rock garden in my neighborhood.

I have recently started reading a lot more than I used to. There are a lot of books on my "To Read" list that I have not gotten around to reading. I really enjoy futuristic books, especially those depicting dystopian futures. I also enjoy self-improvement books, classic works and poetry.

I don't watch a lot of television. But I tend to migrate towards comedy and dramas. My favorite show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer (on my 4th time watching the series now). Coming in a close second is "Tim and Eric Awesome Show," mostly because the offbeat humor makes it so great.
