I am an neuro/medical/trauma ICU and Pre-op/PACU registered nurse. I am also a board certified acute care nurse practitioner. I have 2 dogs (1 short haired border collie, and a shepard lab mix). I have been married to my wonderful wife for 17 years and have an 11 year old daughter. I love the Philadelphia Eagles, Arizona Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks but love sports in general. I love to travel and hope to make it to Ireland, Greece and Denmark someday. I am from New Jersey, but my favorite US city is Portland (Oregon not Maine). I recently traveled to Rome, Venice, Prague and Paris and it was absolutely amazing. I can't believe I waited so long to travel outside the U.S. My favorite animal is the hippo, but love pretty much all animals. Although I don't have any I am obsessed with tattoos, but do have quite a few body piercings (mostly in my ears).

I am pretty easy to please, as long as effort is put forth. I love the color green in all shades. I love music of all kind but especially R&B especially old school Motown. I enjoy the rain and gloomy days (not many here in Phoenix). My favorite holiday is Halloween and I love everything sugar skull, day of the dead and Frida Khalo. I like coffee and tea (but coffee much more). My favorites are bold patterns like argyle and paisley, but do also like polka dots and stripes.

Dislikes:

I really do not like bugs or frogs even the images of. I especially do not like the Tim Holtz bird images.I detest lateness or flaking. I have had this happen far too many times on other sites. Over-embellished items (give it room to breathe). And the over use of glitter. I like using glitter paper, but if it is falling off and getting everywhere I would rather just avoid the mess it makes.

I starting sewing in May of 2020. I learned to sew by making scrub hats for myself and co-workers. It turned into making quilts. My first quilt was a rail fence ottoman topper using the scraps from all the scrub hats I made. Next was a "tea time" pattern using a jelly roll that I gave as a baby gift. Next is a queen size plus "balancing act" quilt for my mom. I love bright colors with high contrast. I really love Tula Pink fabrics and Moda grunge. I try to avoid solid color fabrics but love tone on tone.
