I'm now empty nested and retired and I finally have more time for my art, crafts and sewing- yay! :) I LIKE: Anything Dia de los Muertos/Sugar skulls, anything quirky and odd, odd or cute Japanese stationery, going camping in our teardrop trailer, Edward Gorey, Mark Ryden, Frida Kahlo. Adore me some LUSH products!, listening to music, playing games- both online and board games, fairies (ones with attitude- NOT the Disney kind!), gnomes, classic pin-ups (Elvgren, Page, etc.), and Miyazaki movies Favorite colors: blue, black, and jewel tones. Favorite animals: opossums, bats, sloths, raccoons, quokkas, owls, monkeys, hedgehogs, wombats, bunnies, llamas, bush babies
DON'T LIKE: color yellow, (generally speaking, don't care for pastel colors either), religious/Christian stuff (unless it's super quirky and tacky), "country style" anything, clowns, anything cartoon or cutesy like Snoopy, Garfield, or Disney (unless it's Lilo & Stitch), and the smell of cigarette smoke! Also, please no postcards...I seem to be getting a lot of them in my swaps and I neither collect or use them, thanks. ;)
I have eclectic tastes in music and love just about anything except opera. :) Some of the stuff I like includes anything acapella, classic rock, Jack Johnson, Ed Sheeran, Bonamassa, John Mayer, Lyle Lovett, AC/DC, Joe Walsh, Tom Waits, Patsy Cline, Norah Jones, Ben Harper, Spearhead, Paul Thorn, Eminem, Wailin' Jennies, acoustic guitar, piano (like George Winston, etc.), Pentatonix and anything Blues or funk(Did I mention eclectic??) :) I also love discovering new music! I really miss the swaps making themed music CD's...I found a lot of great new artists that way!
I love to read...I have too many favorites to count!! I do tend towards genres of fantasy/sci fi though. Some authors that pop to mind: Charlaine Harris, Christopher Moore, Tim Dorsey, Carl Hiassen, Diana Gabaldon, Kim Harrison, George Martin, etc. I'm also an art/craft/sewing book junkie...especially any of the Somerset Studios magazines! I'm amassing quite the collection! :)
Favorite movies: Wizard of Oz, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mars Attacks, Braveheart, MIB, Pirates of the Carribean series, Lord of the Rings, Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, (Jeez- anything Tim Burton!), any of the Studio Ghibli movies, Anything with Melissa McCarthy or Sandra Bullock, and The Princess Bride (Hello...My name is Inigo Montoya...) ;)
Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, any of the Star Trek shows, Barry, Ozark, Orange is the New Black, Outlander, American Gods, Call the Midwife, Project Runway, Golan the Insatiable, Bob's Burgers, Archer, Criminal Minds, I Zombie, Drunk History, Lucifer, Stranger Things
Again...eclectic! I don't care for anything "cutsie" craft-wise, (for example cartoons, crochet angels, tole painted cows or "country" themed anything) but other than that... I love ATC's, and I have both an art journal and a bullet journal. I am currently trying to improve my watercolor, drawing and also lettering skills... but I do everything from sewing clothes and quilts to stamping, cardmaking, soaps, jewelry making...you name it, I've probably at least dabbled in it! :)
Please know I take my sign-ups seriously and will NEVER flake on a swap. If I sign up, I WILL send , and always by the deadline, so let me know if you don't get something a reasonable amount of time, it'll likely mean something has happened to it en route. Also, I always try to rate as soon as I get things, so if you have not gotten a rating in a reasonable amount of time, it means I have not gotten what you sent, not that I was lazy and didn't rate you. ;) As far as rating, when it comes to giving out hearts, I look for the effort put into your swap when I rate. (I will always rate a 5 unless I didn't get it, or it didn't fit the swap guidelines.) If I can tell you read my profile and/or put effort into your swap to make it something you'd like to get, that's what gets a heart from me. I really try to make my partner's swaps the best I can, and try to tailor it to their likes/dislikes when possible, so I like it when others do the same! :)
I would love any of the following: fun/quirky personalized return address labels, (can never seem to get enough of these!!), ephemera, miniatures for my gnome garden, cute/quirky letter sets or note cards, washi tape, atc or cardmaking supplies, rubber stamps, atcs, stickers, anything Tim Holtz...

Snail mail pal for May: thank you for the lovely letter β and the extras. I like them all especially the stamped images. I can't wait to try my watercolors on them. Thank you again! Kelseyn3478
I just stopped by to peek at your profile and you have the same birthday as my granddaughter! Have a great day!
W E L C O M E to WIYM ATCs Of The Alphabet. I am looking forward to having you in the series=)
That's odd, it showed up fine on the preview. Sorry about that. I'll try a different image: ;)
Welcome to a whole new year of Profile-Based Swaps!
That's funny that you caved- I did too on one of mine- well, I knew it was a fink flamingo ornament cause his little feet were poking out of the wrapping. The chopsticks weren't exactly wrapped in a clever way. :-) Hope you like everything!
