I have three children and one grandson. My children are a great source of inspiration for many of the things that I make. I enjoy mail art the most. I like to learn new crafts and challenging myself. However, you aren't going to necessarily receive the next "Mona Lisa" from me. My apologies. I am still trying to find my "groove", and I take risks with my projects so that I can grow as a crafter.
I volunteer- teach a crochet class on Tuesday nights, and public school during the week. I have been knitting since the ninth grade, making clothes for my dog. Most of my children's scarves, socks and hats are made by me. I make a lot of my own holiday and party decorations, and love to try new skills with different media. I want to make everything, and try to make things that have practical and decorative purposes.
I have re-taken up container gardening. Lots of squash and sunflowers this year. Not to mention corn!
My inspiration comes from my favorite animals, punk rockers,The Book of Mormon, Japan, Geisha, Cowboys, Native Americans and the toys my children play with. I make a lot of Day of the Dead themed ornaments, especially those that have wings attached to them. I crochet and knit for charity. I see a lot of swaps I would like to join, please consider me for swaps with anyone who shares my interests.
Wow, my music tastes are eclectic. A lot of what I listen to depends on the inspiration I think I need. Rockabilly, Brian Setzer, Rob Zombie,Rick James, PFUNK, Jimmi Hendrix, Prince, soul, hip hop and 80's music.Primus, Juan Gabriel. Tito Puente, Celia Cruz. I love old country western. I don't like death metal or music like it.

Books about Cuba, fairies, animals, elementary and preschool education, Reggio Emilia, Mexico, Day of the Dead, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Native Americans, The old West, Cowboys, Performance Art, Federico Garcia Lorca, Salvador Dali, Maya Angelou, Martha Stewart, Science, science fiction, historical fiction,LDS history, books about Japan, Japanese Culture, LDS history and authors.
Quentin Tarrantino, Sid and Nancy, True Romance, New York Doll, Falling Down, Reservior Dogs, Kill Bill, The RM,Toy Story, Snow White, Everafter, The Last Emperor, Easyrider, The Testaments, Spaghetti Westerns, Cowboy Flicks, Japanese or Kung Fu theme, Historical Fiction,Master of the Flying Guillotine, Dolomite, Petey Wheatstraw- Devil's son in Law, really immature comedy, Harold and Kumar, Dude- Where's my car? Lord of the Rings, Willow, All the Star Wars, Disney. Did I mention MARIE ANTOINETTE ? ? ? ! ! It's awesome, and I have drawn a lot of inspiration from her.
Urban Art. It kicks butt! Correspondence art. Crochet, ATC's, sewing, collage, Art dolls and knitting. Fairy themes. Blythe and the Littlest pet shop, Squinkie crafts, Mermaid themes, horses, unicorns, gnomes... I love to do the decorated envelope swaps, please invite me for those!!! I'll try just about any craft, but these are my passions, right now.

I don't know how to get the pledge icon to work, but I promise to be fair, and hope others will be fair, too. I also promise to rate my partners. Please forgive me if I do not rate immediately. Please feel free to contact me . If I am a little late sending your swap, you feel the swap didn't meet the description or if you plain didn't receive it, please PM me before you give me a "one" rating. I will take every effort to remedy the situation and "resend". However, I ask that you wait until the swap deadline has passed a couple of days, before you do so. :)
My big projects every year are Day of the Dead displays, Nacimientos for Las Posadas and 3 King's Day, Animals for various projects, baby clothing for humanitarian service, and Pioneer Day (I make the prairie clothes and sometimes I decorate my kid's wagon.). I keep a garden and like to keep insects as a natural pest deterrent.

Things I don't enjoy/like/want: Mmmm. I don't know... I avoid things that are "death metal" or outright satanic (I know the difference between pagan and satanic. I mean I don't like stuff that genuinely advocates the worship of Satan and has hideous demons on it.). Cute devils, Coop devils and goth are great
My daughters love Tinkerbell, My Little Pony, Squinkies, Blythe, Yo Gabba Gabba , Barbie, baby dolls, fairies, horses, kittens, dogs, crayons and Scooby Doo..
