guess i should mention i am in my 40s and i live in a college town in the midwest in a shoe box sized apartment with my cat. since my place is so small and i appreciate a lot of things i joke i am going to be featured on hoarders one day! it really isnt that bad but it keeps people from just stopping by. ;0)

i work for the university and really enjoy the intellectual pursuits my town offers but i still love a great reality show! i enjoy watching foreign tv shows and movies on pbs and right now i am deep into the swedish police procedurals. i would love to live where it was colder and snowed a lot.

my favorite holiday would be christmas probably because of the cold weather aspect, and my birthday! i collect whatever makes me smile, i really dont have a specific thing. i love to go to restaurants and buy the plastic toys out of the quarter machines and i also love to purchase hand made ceramic items, so i am kind of all over the place. at home i like items with a purpose. if it is just a knick knack i take it to work for display. i can be very childlike in the items that just make me light up. sometimes the most inexpensive things are just so great!

i do like hello kitty and scooby doo and pink panther. i love animals and have recently become a vegetarian...almost vegan...not quite there yet. i like coffe and tea and dark chocolate. i dont really like lotions since i have a lanolin allergy so i have to read the labels really carefully. i seem to be rambling so i will return to this someday and make it nicer.

**a note about religion: i see a number of swaps talk about not sending religious themed items or asking before hand. i am spiritual not religious but i am very interested in all religions. i do collect religious items, from all religions. if i recieved something religious in nature i would not be offended, i might add it to the collection, but if you choose to try to convert me i would be highly offended.

i love rap or "urban" music, to see me you would never guess that! i really enjoy all kinds of music, my taste is very eclectic here. i am ALWAYS open to listening to something new.

i like to alternate between fiction and non-fiction. i love stephen king, anything that will scare me i want to know about it! i like ghost stories and mysteries. i totally believe in ghosts and anyone who wants to swap experiences should contact me. any story with really good character development keeps my interest.

pee wee's big adventure is my favorite. i love comedies. i would also love to find movies that really scare you, i have watched many that really didnt make me even jump. i LOVE the final destination series because of the creative way they come up with to off the characters. i love foreign films and will never shy away from "reading" a movie, subtitles are a challenge! i also like to hear other people's favorite movies and why and will take suggestions.

i love big bang theory! have watched it from day one. i also enjoy the original CSI and all the true crime shows. i like grimm and bob's burgers makes me laugh and i like documentaries. as mentioned above i watch pbs also and enjoy all their foreign entertainment.

i knit and am learning to sew and learning crochet. i also cross stitch. i like learning new crafts but once i master it i like to move on. but i think i will always knit. i like to cut things out of newspapers or magazines that i think are funny or beautiful and i keep a journal and add in these items as they might relate to something in my entry. i also have a blog.

my favorite color is green but i also like red and orange. not a fan of horses. do not like coconut. not a big fan of scented items: candles, etc. love to learn about other countries/cultures.

since i seem to be swaping a lot of postcards i guess it is time to add what kind i like. i really like the black and white old photos. animals of any kind except spiders and snakes. 50s type, the kind with housewives in aprons and squeaky clean kids and admiration of new great inventions like the refrigerator or washing machine, you know, retro. i would also love cards from foreign places!!!!!!!!!!!

i read as many profiles as possible to get ideas of information to include. i see over and over again messages about swaps not recieved. i am here to complete swaps and am serious about it. if for some reason you do not recieve from me PLEASE contact me before you rate me poorly. i guess i have a trusting nature and when someone is an established swapper with high ratings i believe they live up to expectations, not always! i now understand why when people do side swaps they set up a private swap and i also understand why this person was so quick to skip that step and just hand out her address. so i got screwed out of a postcard and a chance at a pen pal, so lesson learned. just learn from my mistake and NEVER swap without a swap of some kind set up!
