Art Teacher. Mom. Crafter. Sewist. Disney lover.
I have loved crafting for as long as I can remember--I used to make clothes for my Barbies. I love to draw, sew, and crochet; I have been known to knit. I love the world of altered art and mixed media.
My favorite television shows include a lot of odd varieties: reality shows (Survivor, Amazing Race, Top Chef, Live PD, So You Think You Can Dance), true crime shows, and shows on channels like ID, A&E, TLC and Discovery Channel. I also like to watch wrestling (WWE). My guilty pleasure shows are My 600 Pound Life and 90-Day Fiance.
I love all kinds of music: 70's disco, 70's and 80's R&B and classic soul, 80's new wave and hair metal, pop, hip hop, and sometimes alternative, classic rock, and rock.
If you ever wanted to know what I like or collect, you have come to the right spot!
Likes: Pink, candy, Hello Kitty, kawaii, hearts, stars,socks, purses, fabric, the beach, Japanese, Mexican and Indian (India) things; fabric, pirates, ATC's, inchies, vintage, paper crafting, scrapbooking supplies, book pages, lip gloss, tiny things, bees, Tim Holtz
Craft themes I like: Virgin Mary, Asian, India, Day of the Dead, Steampunk, shrines, recycled/repurposed, vintage, Loteria
I admit it--there are some things I really don't like:
overt religious themes (except for Virgin Mary images), politics, bugs (except for bees), blood and gore, clowns (although, I do have some paper with vintage clowns and circus that aren't too creepy), things for little kids since I don't have a little kid, dogs, puppets especially marionettes, monkeys, earrings (my ears aren't pierced), black licorice (yuk!),
Chinese Buddha figures, Maneki Neko figures (Beckoning cat--the ones with one paw up from Japan), postcards, buttons (also called badges), coins from foreign countries
postage stamps--new or used, papers and ephemera from foreign countries, coins and paper money from foreign countries, Canadian things (for my daughter), fabric--especially from Japan, small pieces of scrapbooking paper for making ATC's, scrapbooking supplies like brads and punchies, pages from old books, tiny plastic charms or toys (like gumball charms), Hello Kitty, vintage items like digital collage sheet images or lace, digital collage sheet cast-offs,anything Tim Holtz, and anything from the things or themes I like above.
I do like to tea swaps, and I wanted to let people know that I am only allergic to penicillin, so don't send me any old and moldy tea!! I love green, white and herbal teas, especially those that are flavored.
I was hoping never to open a section like this again, but here it is; I have been flaked on in two big swaps and I am not happy about it.
@bandakarhu for the Art Journal for Beginners swap--hasn't been online since Oct 27
@MommaWlf for the huge 100,000 swap--she hasn't been online since Oct 28
