UPDATE 10 OCTOBER 2013 I am still looking for work. I should be getting unemployment payments in the next couple of weeks. Things are looking better in that department. I am still swapping a few items because it helps keep me from going crazy!!! I am very thankful for my church family who have helped me so very much through this hard time!! Thank you to those here who have been very kind and supportive--you know who you are!!! But, things are looking a little better!!!

UPDATE 3 SEPTEMBER 2013 I am currently unemployed and without home phone or internet. I do have internet on my phone, but it is VERY limited at this time. I will try to get on here as I can. I apologize for any problems this may cause and sincerely want everyone to know that I am OK and that I WILL get through this. My swaps should all be sent out except for two. I will have to take a little bit of a break for now, but will not disappear completely. I have made some good friends here and met some really great people. Married, mother of three who loves sending and receiving mail from anywhere in the world. I have twins and a teenager. Sometimes I feel like my husband is a big kid himself!!!

I like a lot of different types of music. What I currently listen to mostly is country, Christian, blues, 80's, 90's, no rap!!! I grew up in the 80's and early 90's and seem to be stuck there--especially with some of the "hair bands"!,

I love stupid comedy movies!! Police Academy, Adam Sandler, Mel Brooks, etc. I also like some of the lighthearted romance comedy movies. I am also a sucker for Pixar-type animated movies. Not crazy about horror or action, shoot-em-up type movies. I also like anything history related.

Although I do like a lot of reality TV, I do not like things such as Big Brother, Survivor, Toddlers and Tiaras, etc.

I love a good documentary about a person's life. I do not watch very many of the shows on network TV. I have satellite and I love it!

Since I am doing a lot of postcard and stamp swaps, I thought I would add some things that I like here.

POSTCARDS

I like almost every kind of postcard you want to send me. I am really not very picky. If you really want to make me smile, I love beaches, sunsets, oceans, flamingos, flowers, views of where you live, funny or inappropriately funny (I have a crazy sense of humor), art, mountains, animals, frogs, dogs, and abstract art to name just a few.

I do not care much for anime, pagan/wiccan, too cutesy, kawaii, space, sci-fi, or mythological type cards.

STAMPS

I like a lot of different stamps. Flowers, animals, architecture, China, Japan, Israel, Mongolia, very colorful, Christmas, special issues, butterflies, birds, fish, Asian countries, some of the more colorful stamps from the European countries

I don't really care for space or sci-fi related themed stamps. I have way too many of those little queen head stamps from many different countries, basic stamps, and a few others

These are things that I dislike:

Coconut, rap music, candles and scented oils in scents other than fruity or cinnamon or mint, dark chocolate, flavored things (strawberry, berry, melons, blue raspberry, kiwi), items that aren't Christian religions (I will respect your right to practice whatever beliefs that you have and will not send you the "you are going to hell" stuff!), green peas (makes me want to gag--especially the smell of them), meatloaf (not even my mother's), broccoli, cleaning, laundry, green tea, some flavored teas (flavors are listed above), iPhones (love my Samsung, thank you), cold weather, snow, cloudy days, rain, mean people, Taylor Swift, Justin Beiber, Beyoncé, celebrity gossip, nudity that is not done in an artful form, and others that I can't think of right now. I will add as I think of them.
