Uggg, I guess I forgot to put notes in a couple recent swaps. I apologize, I am usually not so brain dead. October 2024
My hubby and I are now empty nesters. Not sure how I feel about it. 2024 will also bring us grandbaby #2 a girl.
The end of 2022 and start of 2023 were insane for us. Out first grand was born on 12-10 and did not get out of NICU until 12 23. I went to help out but got the call that my terminally ill father was heading downhill. He passed 1-6. I made several trips to Michigan and am just getting all the probate/executor stuff going. Thank you for those of you who were patient and to Isabella Snow for stepping in to help me with 2 swaps, you are loved!
My youngest is A 15-16 yr contender in the hammer throw for the National title.Jacksonville, Florida, here we come! HE JUST WON THE JR OLYMPIC CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! (7-30-21)
I am a happily married woman (21 years) and have 3 teenage kids.
Update 4/2021 I love Swap-Bot, I have met so many wonderful people here. I continue to be amazed at the talent of people, and a good letter never fails to inspire. After 11 month I am back to work, so theoretically I should be slowing down on my swaps. That does not seem to be the case thus far...
I love to watercolor paint, junk journal, smash books, collect vintage items, gelli print and make Happy Mail.
I like themed color palettes.
I am not picky about what the color is as long as it is cohesive an aesthetically pleasing.
I love to read, period. I have library cards with 4 major libraries and usually have 30 books, audio and print on my tablet. American History, American Historical Romance, Romantic Suspense, True crime, Suspense, Humor, craft idea or techniques, and cook books are usually on the list.
I have survived breast cancer. I have had 14 different abdominal surgeries. I do not wish to receive any cancer survivor stuff. I feel that I have just dealt with what is in front of me. During my reconstruction recovery I went septic and nearly died. That was more impactful then cancer.
Trees
Botanicals images of trees and plants
Anything forest related (I have a HUGE, 300 pieces or more, Smokey Bear bookmark collection, let me know if you want vintage Smokey)
Vintage anything, cards, printed ephemera, photos, postcards are all wonderful if you found it, I will love it.
Washi tape, blues, green and yellows, florals, mountains etc.
Any tags or pockets for a junk journal
Canceled stamps from anywhere,
Fibers, not yarn, not wool
Charms to use as dangles
Colored pliable wire
Jewelry findings or unique ideas for dangles
Lace, 2 inches or more vintage or not
I am intrigued with sari silk
Favorite recipes
Clocks
Paper flowers
Sewing machine stitched paper.
Linens, I have a deep love for tatted doilies and embroidered dresser scarves. Scan your favorite and share the print out!
Gardens, gates, houses in die cuts.
CD of fun digitals?
A memory dex base, if you have the punch send me a couple!
I am using Pirate Ship to calculate shipping. If I get it wrong let me know! I mis-weighed a swap the other day and added a bunch of postcard stamps to make up the difference, I hope it works!
Hey folks, I do a fair number of swaps and have a busy life. I do NOT rate on the day of the swap. I usually allow a round of swaps to run 2-3 weeks before I rate. Sorry/Not Sorry if this offends.
Herbal teas, I am allergic. Stick with black tea.
Anything cancer survivorish
Cotton basic yarn
Stinky perfumed items, once again allergic
Wool, raw, spun ...all give me hives
Flat back "gems" the plastic type
Sequins, glitter or shaker supplies
I wish I didn't have to put this down but PLEASE no kiddie or dollar store stickers. No alphabets either.
I am diabetic...no sweets please.
I do not care for green peppers, I will take recipes with them in it in small quantities.
I adore canning and preserving
