Hello! I'm Shannon, a 55 year old who is very young at heart! I've been married to my best friend for 30 years. We have a son, a daughter (and her husband, who is also a son to us), two very spoiled cats... and, two ridiculously spoiled grandkitties.

I started my career as a high school English teacher. After taking several years off to be home with my kiddos, I decided to go back to school for my Master's in social work ---- at age 41!! I work in the field of aging.

Favorite Crafts: I have always been a creative person and have dabbled in most all types of arts & crafts. I enjoy paper crafts of all types, Pocket Letters, flip books, tag flips, ATC, junk journals; up-cycling and DIY crafts.

I also love watching YouTube craft tutorials and hauls. My favorite store to purchase crafts from is Tuesday Morning, but I won't say "no" to any store that sells quality craft supplies at an affordable price.

~ Die cut images ~ Stamped images ~ Washi tape ~ Note cards & other stationary ~ Fun paperclips ~ Retro / vintage ~ Ephemera ~ Journaling cards (for junk journals) ~ Inspirational quotes ~ Anything “Alice in Wonderland” ~ Fabrics, lace and trim ~ Tea or coffee dyed paper (or any dyed paper- avocados make a pretty pink hue, that’s my favorite) ~ thin stickers (I think they are called flake or washi stickers) ~ Colors - aqua, pink, green, coral, blue - but truly, I love all colors. ~ Something unique and interesting about yourself and/ or your little corner of the world :)

~ Skulls, horror, etc. ~ CLOWNS ~ Anime ~ Strong scents (vanilla, musky, 'manly') ~ Stickers that are - puffy, scratch 'n sniff, or tiny "teacher reward" types ~ Violence ~ Neon colors

I don't make it to the theatre very often, but I do enjoy movies and watch them once they reach cable or Netflix. Some of my all-time favorites are: The Wizard of Oz; Mulon Rouge; It's Kind of a Funny Story; A Beautiful Mind; American Beauty; Across the Universe; Bridesmaids; Death at a Funeral. I am not fond of Fantasy, Anime, Horror, or Action/Adventure.

I absolutely love to read! My favorite types of books are biographies, psychological thrillers, and contemporary fiction. I also like non-fiction on topics that interest me (social justice, human behavior, crafting, arts, architecture, and much more!)

I also love magazines about crafting, organization, healthy living. (my newest favorite is Project Calm).
