My Family/ My Life: I have 3 little hang-ons (children) ages 4,3,1 sanity left about four years ago. Girl, boy, boy. I work swing shift and that's when I get my mommy time. I read, scrapbook and I have even cut out material for sewing projects all from work.

Books that read like a movie, drama, romance, and vamps.

I love the thought of sewing but I suck at it. I also love to scrapbook; I am defiantly a cutter and paster. I am addicted to paper. It saved my life once so how can stop buying it? I also loom knit and do other general crafts.

I have started a CHD (congenital heart defects) support group in Colorado Springs. Just some facts about CHDs:

*CHD is the # 1 birth defect and is the leading cause of birth-defect related deaths… (While it is the most common birth defect, it is the least publicized.)

*40,000 infants are born with CHD each year in the U.S. That equates to 1 out of 125 babies born with a heart defect. (Still, newborns are not screened for CHD’s.)

*Some babies may be diagnosed before birth or at birth, some not until days, weeks, months or even years later. Sadly, too many are not diagnosed until after death.

*Undiagnosed CHD’s and Childhood Onset Heart Disease cause many cases of Sudden Cardiac Death in young athletes. (Despite these statistics, teen-aged athletes are not routinely screened for CHD’s.)

I mostly get girlie stuff (it's so much fun) my boy's paper ends up mostly polka-dots so I'm trying to break out of that. My middle sons' first year is all polka-dots and my honey says it is not very masculine. I am totally into vintage, shabby chic and I love the birds and owls that are trendy right now. Paper is my first addiction ribbon is my second it adds so much to my pages. I hate to use it I would much rather look and see how pretty it is. Basically I'm a hoarder.

I don't do blue.... well very little blue. Yes I know I have two boys but one has a heart defect and has a blue tint. So no blue clothes on him therefore no blue paper for matching. Yes I do color coordinate outfits for family outings. On family outings I give my honey the choice of 3 different shirts that match everyone else so scrapbooking is easier. Yes anal but I have a system for my madness.
