Hello one and all!
I am a 24-year old girl working in a small school with children. I graduated from college last year with a BA in Speech & Hearing Sciences and American Sign Language. I come from a town where the largest buildings around are the churches, and I like it. I love to sing.
I spend a lot of time with family, friends, and my boyfriend. I love my pets (2 cats and 1 dog) an unhealthy amount. ;) I have a huge heart for animals!
My main attraction here on swap-bot is postcards. I am a dedicated Postcrosser!
My most recent happy memory was in May of this year - my boyfriend got me tickets to see GLEE live in Chicago, where I got to be face to face with 2 stars (Puck and Kurt) and actually hold hands with them. I live and breathe for the existence of Glee, so I probably don't need to expand on how happy this night was for me.
I love COLOR. I don't know any other way to put it. I love bright, funky colors. I love muted, shabby-chic colors. I can't stand white walls in my home...Color makes me feel alive. :)
One of my biggest regrets in life is that 3 of my 4 grandparents and I never got to live any years together. Sadly, they each passed away within 5 years before I was born. They exist to me only through albums of sepia-tinted photographs, and I often wonder how my life would have been different had I been blessed enough to know them.
GLEE, The Beatles, Selena, Buddy Holly, She & Him, and so on. Although it sounds cliche, I REALLY DO love all kinds of music. I was raised to appreciate music from all eras and appreciate them as far back as the beginning of sound. My favorites, though, are golden oldies and contemporary 'indie'.
Sundays at Tiffany's, To Kill a Mockingbird, Sloppy Firsts series, Our Town, and yes, the Twilight saga. :)
Truly too many to list, but I'll give it a shot... "Favorite" is a solid tie between Breakfast at Tiffany's and Disney's Cinderella. Both have been a tremendous comfort to me while growing up, and still always make me smile.
Love Actually, Henry Poole is Here, Away We Go, Jack the Bear, Awakenings, Frequency, Shadow of a Doubt (1943), Philadelphia, Mamma Mia...
I'll go ahead and make a blanket statement and say I love anything with Audrey Hepburn or M. Night Shyamalan, most musicals, and most things with Mel Gibson. Also films with French subtitles. :)
GLEE.
Medium, The Office, The Little Couple, Cake Boss.
Lots of re-runs/TV on DVD...Rhoda, Mary Tyler Moore, Friends, Sex and the City, Daria, Seinfeld, Gilmore Girls, I Love Lucy, Supernatural, The Closer, The King of Queens, and so on.
