I pledge to rate! I open my mail in front of my computer, so I rate while I'm opening my mail. :-)
I always send my swaps! I prepare my swaps in front of my computer too, so as soon as I put postage on it, I mark them sent. I usually do this at night because I have a full time job, so they are picked up by the post office the next day. If you don't receive a swap I sent, please let me know so I can follow up on it. I will happily resend anything eaten by the post office.
Receiving Resent Swaps Every now and again, the USPS will lose swaps, so I advise my partners before rating. Always. I've had a few situations where I will get the resent swap, then I'll also get the original swap at some later date (Thanks USPS). When I end up getting both, I send a "Thank You" in the mail equivalent to the swap sent and received twice because of awesome swap partners. It just seems like the right thing to do. :-)
I live in Northern Virginia with my husband and kitties, but would much rather live in the forest on a mountain. Perhaps when we retire! I work full time and spend most of my days on the computer so by the time I get home I usually stay away from the computer because I'm tired of it. In my free time, I like to make stained glass and fused glass. I also like to try new crafts.
I like to travel but haven't been anywhere since the plague started. Little trips into nature have been so refreshing.
I have a witty and often sick sense of humor. I cuss ... a lot. I enjoy many things geeky. I'm a Nerdfighter ... DFTBA! And I love playing games with friends and family - Munchkin, Cards Against Humanity, and Exploding Kittens are a couple of my current favorites.
I'm also a pagan who is comfortable talking religion to anyone. In my theological studies, I've come to realize that all major world religions can pretty much be boiled down to one thing: Don't be an asshole. :-) So I try not to be.
These are things I'd love to receive in any form (ATCs, ephemera, goodies, stickers, etc.)
Washi (any, but I especially like purples, snowflakes, trees, leaves, moon and stars, rabbits, and cats.)
Favorite colors are purples, jewel tones, and saturated colors.
Snowflakes - One of my favorite websites is http://www.snowcrystals.com/ because they have beautiful pictures of snowflakes as well as a great science section about how snowflakes form and how the crystals grow in nature (2, 3, 6, and 12 points - Never 4, 5, or 8 points!).
Stained Glass
I have been making stained glass and fused glass art since the 1990s. I can use MANY things in my glass work and like to use "weird" things whenever possible ... like sliced agate, river rocks, crystal points, sea glass, sea shells used bike gears, keys, antique glass plates, antique glass buttons, cabochons, chain, jewelry findings, empty bottles, metal stirrups ... I'll use anything! :-)
Other Stuff
I have really been getting in to making ATCs lately and I like receiving ATCs and supplies that I can use when making them. My style is usually a mixed media / collage type style, but I love trying all sorts of new styles and mediums.
I like trying new crafts and find that I can always use ribbon, Sharpies, origami paper, acrylic paints, metal jewelry findings, metal pendants.
I enjoy painting and decorating those plain cheap wood boxes from craft stores as well as other boxes too. It's nice to re-purpose boxes that are in good shape and make them into something prettier and then use them!
Themes and things I don't care for:
I am allergic to maple syrup. To be safe, please don't send anything that is even maple flavored. Thank you!
I do not like floral teas, blackberry/raspberry, ginger, lemon, licorice/anise, mango, any melons, rooibos, or mint flavors. I also don't like earl grey or anything by Ashby's.
I like plain black teas and I do prefer black tea over green. Darjeeling is my favorite black tea.
I also like flavored teas with peach, orange, strawberry, spices, vanilla, and apple and I like trying new-to-me flavors too.
I am always looking for Twinings Peach Black Tea. They appear to have quit selling it in the States.
Favorite Teas discovered in swaps:
I will always love to receive these flavors!!

Your collage art is exceptional
Welcome to the Artisan ATC group.
I once made a Charmander, jigglypuff, and a few other pancakes for my son when he was young. "Freehand" as it were. They weren't the best art, but spooning pancake batter can be tricky! It started because my mom used to make us snowmen pancakes when we were young ๐
Look forward to swapping with you ๐
How are you doing? I like that you are taking care of yourself first. Thinking of you and wishing you well.
