Hello! I am Svetlana, I am new to Swap-Bot and I am super excited about joining!

I live in Russia, in a small place just north of Moscow and I commute to Moscow to work. I have also lived in the U.S. for 3 years. I am 30 y.o., recently married, with no kids yet. My favorite things are hiking, camping, or simply long walks outdoors. When I am home (or when it is too cold and snowy for outdoors, haha), I love reading, cross-stitching (would love to learn other stitching styles), music (I play the piano and used to play the cello) and learning foreign languages. Besides English, I have learned German, French, Spanish, Dutch and Finnish (my most recent passion) so I am always excited about anything in these languages.

I am new to Swap-Bot but I have been on Postcrossing for over 8 years by now. I love postcards and stamps, but most of all I like meeting new people and sharing about lifestyles and cultures, so maybe I have tended to focus more on the message than on decorating. My goal on Swap-Bot is to find a balance between the two and to try to get creative and swap more things apart from postcards!

I am a bit anxious about whether post will treat all my items well - if my swap has not arrived, please let me know and I will re-send.

What I like to see:
- Nature: beautiful landscapes, beautiful aerial views
- Outdoors: hiking, camping
- Botanical illustration! I love looking at these and I have recently started attempting it myself.
- Plants and gardens
- Maps
- Alphabets and fonts
- Wooden buildings, cozy rooms, unusual or cozy houses
- Folk crafts, embroidery, and generally anything handmade
- Large dogs, especially husky and malamute
- Food and recipes
- Books - Anything in these languages: Finnish, German, Spanish, French, Dutch
- Musical instruments, sheet music

What I like to read about:
- Your lifestyle, basically anything about you personally
- Family traditions
- Family histories and ancestry
- Plants, gardening, your regional flora
- Anything about your local community and/or local sights. I love all things local.
- Food and recipes
- Green living
- Your travels, especially hiking
- Your language
- Your name and other names in your family
- Your favorite music
- Books - Fun science facts (especially related to biology, medicine, or other natural sciences)

I am open to a lot of other things! For me what matters is meeting people.

Motives I am not so crazy about:
- Disney
- Kawaii
- Anime (except for Studio Ghibli - I love Studio Ghibli)
- Any movies or TV shows
- Famous people and royalties
- Sci fi
