I'm a 25 year old girl living in the Houston Heights, working as a secretary and studenting full-time. I have a super-cute boyfriend and a super-cute hedgehog, and my hobbies are reading & writing, learning Esperanto, making music, knitting & crocheting, record- & book-collecting,and playing the Sims 2. I like volunteering, and I mentor juvenile delinquents.

I like the kind of music that I can identify within the first three seconds. That recognizable. Srsly.

Ranges from classic rockabilly, post-war swing, and 1960s Top 40 to indie rock, Swedish pop and new folk.

Favorite Books

A Confederacy of Dunces, When I was Five I Killed Myself, Adrian Mole Diaries, Dead Souls, Nine Stories, The Awakening, The Great Gatsby.

Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks.

Favorite Crafts

Repurposed items, yarn-made stuff, collages. I hate stuff that destroys perfectly good books or records. Frowny face! That's destructive, not creative.

Comment: Thank you for all those lovely things! They made a great combination. The pirate is watching from the top of my bookshelf, where "The Face on the Milk Carton" awaits its turn to get read. The hat (we call it "pipo", pronounced quite like "peep-oh") made me almost laugh...something so familiar from the other side of the world :) It's a cute one, and I definitely will wear it.

YOU HAVE A HEDGIEHOG!!!! AWWWWW!!!! I've always wanted a pet hedgehog, but I wasn't sure if it would get on with the cats. The don't seem to mind the chinchilla or the ferret, so maybe.
