I am a 35 years old computer engineer from Mexico. I was born in Russia (Moscow is my hometown) but moved to Mexico City in 1999. Now I am studying Master degree at National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico.

I am happily married to a Mexican guy, we have two Siamese cats and a Kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula californiae).

• Linguistics. Studying foreign languages is my greatest passion! I speak Russian (which is my native language), Spanish and English. I had studied Japanese, but it was a while ago, so I only remember basic phrases, but I still can read kanji. If you are Japanese, please feel free to drop me a line, I will enjoy it a lot! Some day I would like to study French, Dutch, Portuguese. If you have studied these (or any other) languages, you can tell me about your experience. I am interested in some 'exotic' languages, like Native American languages: Nahuatl, Quechua, Taino (Arawak), Guarani, etc. Fictional languages: Klingon :) I really enjoy reading about phonology, etymology, topology and onomastics.

• Geek stuff. I am a geeky person! I love things related to science and technology. I enjoy reading popular science articles and watch documentaries about space, biology, history, IT, etc. I am interested in movies, sci-fi literature, some comic books, some video games (Nintendo DS fan!). I used to collect action figures :)

• Postcrossing. I am a proud member of the Postcrossing Community. I participate in official exchange and Round Robins.
