This is a postcard project and I am hoping to get the biggest number of participants ever on Swapbot. Please help me reach the stars. Have you ever been taken by someone story and courage to the point where you are touched to the core. Let me tell you about an angel and her battle. I need your help create the biggest postcard album to bring happiness and smiles in her difficult life. CAMRYN HUNTER is a tiny little girl who was diagnosed with Acute Myelod Leukemia in 2011. I know about her precious battle because her grandparents are my neighbours. The cancer is a rare form and the treatments are taking quite a toll on the life of this 4 years old child and her family. She received a bone marrow transplant this year, but for some reason,it has gone dormant! This mean, more chemo and another transplant coming up before Christmas. My little friend will not be able to celebrate Christmas with her family. She will be in isolation. The project I have in mind is simple. You will send a postcard to Camryn. This has to be suitable for a small child. Girly or cute animals would do. At the back of your card write a simple child prayer, a song, a rhyme, a riddle, a child's drawing or a little message to make her smile. No sickness related comments. Let's keep it to the HOPE/ COURAGE theme. When the cards will be received, they will be placed in an album or box for Camryn. She will be able to keep them with her. You can learn more about Camryn on this link. Is has not been updated recently because of all the hospital runs. She has a little brother too, but I will likely organize a swap for him in the new year: http://camrynscourage.com/ For your partner on swapbot, please send a nice postcard with a story about a happy moment in your life. The kind of moment that make you smile just to think about it. It is ok to send your postcard right away to Camryn. While in isolation her mother will likely start to read them to her. Please send Camryn's card at her grandparents' address. This is a surprise: Camryn Hunter 31 Bedell Crescent, Whitby, Ontario, L1R 2N8 Canada The swap photo is Camryn and her mother Michelle. She is the strongest woman I have ever met. NO flakers please. |
