Baker, strawberry jam maker and canner, reader, a sewer & a stitcher. Chicken farmer (16 hens at the moment) with a good sized garden. Little kid liker.
After closing my cupcake business, I'm home just sewing and taking care of my chickens as we are now expecting our first girl after mostly all grown boys!
I seem to always have an embroidery project going. I sew daily: everything from wrist cuffs to dresses. Modern quilting is new for me. Using vintage and thrifted fabrics are my favorite. Little wool felt projects, finding ways to use of bits of leftover lace and trim...
A daily reader. BBC and NPR radio lover. Audio books keep me company most days, too. A few reads of many I have enjoyed: Ball Book of Home Canning, Gourmet Potluck (cookbook), Angelology, Icy Sparks, The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie, The Repurposed Library, Living with Chickens, and on and on.
