I'm a happily married father of one boy and one girl. My wife Carrie and I met at work, eventually dated for four months and then married after a 10 day engagement. Hey, when you know what you want, why kid around!?! That was in 2000, and life with her just keeps getting better. Our son Lukas came to us at the age of 2 from a Lithuanian orphanage. He is the light of my life. He's always so excited about anything. I can say "Hey, it's a tree" and you would think it was made of gold by his reaction. Our daugter Anna Jane is an absolute princess. She's named after my two grandmothers, and she looks just like my wife (exactly what I always wanted). I never know I could be wrapped around such a little finger.
Photography, Woodworking, Embroidery, Sewing. Not the most manly group of crafts, but I'm not the type to care too much about the norm. I'm particularly interested in dragonfly and butterfly themes lately. The intracacy of them is facinating. I also like anything that involves crows or suns (and especially both together), because my last name is pronounced with a long O (Croson = crow-sun).
I've been on a folk music kick lately. The Be Good Tanyas are a favorite. But I listen to anything but hip-hop.
I love sci-fi/fantasy and history. This also covers my favorite TV and Movies. If my wife isn't in the room, I'm on Discovery or Learning Channel.
My other hobbies other than crafting are coin collecting and cars. The coin collecting bug really gets to me in the winter. Some of my favorites from my collection include a gold commemorative coin for the US Constitution, and a Lithuanian Proof Set from 2003, the year my son was born there. My current car is a Mazda Miata (once again, not exactly manly). The thing is a blast to drive. I've even taken it drag racing. While that's definitely not the type of racing the car was intended for, it's still a lot of fun. The comradery with buddies and the occasional win light make it addictive. Next stop, SCCA Autocross!
