I am single and have a dog (Barney). I work in accounting so typically the end of the month and beginning of the next can get a little crazy at my job. I have a condo - which I love - and am getting to know my neighbors better all of the time. My cousin turned me on to this site. She loves it!!
I have a wide taste in music. I tend to listen to the radio at work all day so when I get home, I don't generally play much. I play piano, bassoon, flute and general percussion instruments. I have taken YEARS of lessons so I come by my appreciation for classical music honestly. But I like the more middle of the road popular music also. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong musical era due to really liking the music from the 40s and 50s. But generally, as long as it is music and not noise, I like it.
My favorite author is Lori Wick. She is a Christian fictional writer. I've also come to truly enjoy Karen Kingsbury. Recently a neighbor who is getting ready to move gave me a stack of books. Among them are a few titles by James Patterson. So far I'm enjoying him too.
I have to pick just one?!?! Love romantic comedy but also a good suspense. Harry Potter and Twilight are in my top choices too. I also love those old movies - like almost anything with Cary Grant in it. In general, if it is clean (hate foul language) and not too sexually explicit and not a horror film, I will probably watch it once.
I confess, I am a food network and HGTV junkie.
Also I really like the series Drop Dead Diva, CSI (Las Vegas), and How I Met Your Mother.
I've been watching Oprah's final season. Nearly every show has been a hit. I DVR them watch sans commercials - as I do most any television programme - at my convenience. I love technology.
I am a papercrafter. which basically means - I make cards and scrapbook. I have been scrapping since about 1987. I have a dedicated room in my lower level to the craft. A few years ago when the cricut came out I jumped on it. I love to do my own die cuts and also the ability to NEVER run out of letters. Then the gypsy!!! YEA!! Never to cart around all of those cartridges again. I love my gypsy.
In reference to tea - If it has fruit in it - YUK! I love a good black tea. Earl Grey, English Breakfast, you know, like that. Just not lemon-ginger-fruit-fangled tea. And while I'm at it, I'll address coffee too. A good coffee bean is just that - a coffee bean. It could come from just about anywhere in the world - and I've tried a lot of them - but don't burn a flavour into it please. I prefer to add flavouring (ie creamer) by the cup. Right now Hazelnut and Amaretto top my personal list of creamer.
Well now we will see if this becomes a favorite or not. I recently saw Martha Stewart roll her own beeswax candles. It looked totally "easy!!" I ordered beeswax sheets because the hope is to make some for this holiday. Neighbor gifts if they come out good. I will have to post again to let all know of the outcome. UPDATE: I tried the beeswax candle rolling. TOTALLY EASY!!!!! It is SO cool. Now, to be honest, If they are rolled straight, they burn straight. Even put together some little votives out of the leftovers. Now those ended up being some interesting color combos.
I have to say that growing up my favorite color was RED!! But now?? I admit I didn't truely have a favorite for several year but now have decided that GREEN is for me. I like the thought of recycling, using recycled products, not mention nature in general. Besides, a white dog shows up really well on a green background.
