I'm the Mom of a 8yo boy and a 5 yo girl. My hubby is the best guy ever, he is my high school sweetheart/crush, we've been married for 12 years and we have an awesome relationship, fraught with good communication and deep love.
I have four older brothers and we are an awesome FUNCTIONAL family. I love my hubby's family as well. I am so very blessed with my family and friends!!
I spend my time hanging with my kids, working out at the gym, hiking, cooking and taking care of the house and making up reasons to be crafty, whether it's painting on my walls, sewing or crocheting. I am also a PT massage therapist and work on my father-in-laws wee teaching satellites. I think life is pretty nifty.
I love sex, love to talk about it and explore new avenues of pleasure. I am thinking about becoming a sex educator in my area.
I love to travel, esp. to Italy, although it isn't a regular occurance. I have a frighteningly strong and somewhat unnatural attraction towards Michelangelo's "David". Yes, I want 15 min alone with a 17ft peice of marble. yum.
I believe I am an eternal being of light on a human adventure. I think christianity isn't the only path to understanding the divine.
I believe I am not limited by logic, the past or the world around me. I believe we create the world and life we live in by our thoughts spoken and not.
I really want wings... and I believe that someday I will sprout a pair and fly!!
I absolutely LOVE to dress up in costume, Ren faire, halloween, random costume party, theme nights a clubs what have you. I usualy make my own costumes or splice them together from what I already have. Costumes just make my tail wag!
I'm a bit whacky (can you tell?) and as my good friend says.. I add "flair" to social situations.
As far as music goes, I love Matchbox 20, Rob Thomas, Maroon 5 and Gavin DeGraw, John Mayer. I have a soft spot for Jimmy Buffet, esp his mid-late 90's stuff. The old NIN stuff brings me back to my college days. I didn't really get into music until after college when I was married. So the late 80's/early 90's music scene sorta of passed me by. So I'm more of a Post grunge pop/rock girl, with a little alternative thrown in for good measure. I also like some random songs like Push by Garbage and Slither by Velvet Revolver, and Come Here Boy by Imogen Heap...
I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it remains the only show that my hub and I ever re-arranged our lives for. I also dug the spinoff Angel, until our son became old enough to pay attention to the TV... then we had to give it up (No DVR at the time) Following Josh Wheedon around the TV, I also dug Firefly, which was wrongly put down before it's time, but I think we all know that. I was always a sucker for Star Trek:TNG. There are other series I'd like to watch, but need to start from the beginning, like Battlestar Galactica and the new Dr. Who. Currently, I like Heroes, Dancing with the Stars and Swingtown and New Amsterdam, Big Bang Theory cracks me up!!! I love geeks!
I love to read, although I'm a slow reader. Here is a link to my Shelfai http://www.shelfari.com/o1517315504/shelf if you'd like to see what I've read. It's mostly Science Fiction, some historical romance, and of course, Harry Potter...
Being a budding amateur mural artist, I dig painting and drawing. I used to scrapbook but don't always have time for that as I am a tedious physical scrapbooker, so I have gone digital. I do some crochet, esp after having to sit on my butt after a hysterectomy. I like to try new crafts, esp if they don't cost me a bunch of money to try! The postcard thing is kinda fun! I also enjoy beading upon occasion.
How to play guitar, how to throw pottery (not just against the wall), how to speak Italian, how to read palms and hand writing.
I adore the Harry Potter series as I have a "Mrs. Robinson" thing going for (the older) Harry Potter... and the Weasly twins. yummy. I also dig the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the old classics like Princess Bride and Monty Python, Neverending Story, just to name a few.
fun colored nail polish, Toe rings, little claw hair clippies, flavored toothpicks, fairies, dragons, anything that evokes magicks, Suns and Moons, Blues, purples, bright Sun yellow and New VW Bug Orange. cranberry red. anything sexual, flavored chapstick (my neice calls the 'Lippys') (not pepperminty) flavored honey sticks, butterscotch candies, "orange slices" candies, those pink candies.... they're round.. can't think of the name, heart shaped rocks, post-its in fun colors and shapes, fun socks, corsets happy people
hate, greed, intolerance, clowns, horror movies, anything that perpetuates guilt and fear, Sage Green and Mustard yellow (and such), Peppermints and Pastels (don't hate them, just not fond of) toe socks people who are constantly "poor me"-ing
2 cats, Avalon(7) and Inara (2) They are really the best cats, mellow, not finicky and cuddly just when you need it.
1 rat, Sokka. He's a curly rex fancy rat!
