Hi Everyone!

I'm an art instructor at a public school and also teach at a local arts center.

I really haven't done much of my own art for a very long time. I enjoy scrapbooking, decorative painting, paper crafting and collage making.

I worked with a potter for over 20 years doing prep work and glazing. I also went to craft fairs and did merchandising.

I am looking forward to meeting people with similar interests from around the world.

I am a cat person! I have two wonderful babies who are ten years old, the Gold Dust Twins, Goldie and Dusty. I like all kinds of music, but I think my favorite is the music of the 70s that I listened to in High School and College. I'm an avid reader and worked in a book store for years. My favorite genres of books are mysteries, sci-fi, literature, and children's literature. I watch dramas on TV. Right now my favorites are the Good Wife and Scandal. I also enjoy watching Ellen and Jeopardy. I like all kinds of crafts and I love coming up with ideas for my kids to do at schools. I am totally addicted to pinterest.

Looking through the swaps, I see many things that interest me. I am excited to start doing ATCs, what a nice outlet for creativity. Also, the postcards intrigue me. I have swapped a card and bookmark, it was fun getting the items in the mail. Thanks, Helen for introducing me to swap-bot.

Now that I am reading profiles and doing more swaps, I appreciate partners that list their likes and dislikes. Here are some of my favorite things:

Cats, I have two and collect handmade stuffed cats.

My favorite color is pale blue.

I teach art and like art related stickers and embellishments like brushes, palettes, crayons, etc.

I like bright colorful things and rainbows.

I like vintage advertisement art. I bought women's magazines from the 40s and 50s and framed the lingerie ads for my powder room.

My favorite holidays are St. Patrick's Day and Halloween. I like the fun part of Halloween, I don't like the gory stuff like zombies.

I love all flowers, but my favorites are lilies of the valley, violets, carnations, daisies, and zinnias.

I also like cattails, pinecones, thistles and other seed pods that are used in dried arrangements.

I like butterflies, dragonflies, lady bugs, bees, and lightening bugs (fireflies).

I also enjoy fantasy. Harry Potter is a favorite of mine. I like dragons and things related to the HP series.
