Hi,
My name is CJ, I am 29 and a mother of a disabled 4 year old. She is both deaf and blind. She is the light of my life, and has taught me more lessons in life then I could ever teach her.
I am a jewelry designer, not that I make any money at it, but at least it gives me a creative outlet.
I have recently started with some paper crafts, and I am still learning and exploring.
I live with my daughter, my wonderful husband, and the fish that my father thought I needed.
I like most fiction, everything from romance to murder mystery, and even sci-fi. I spend WAY too much time and money at our local used book stores, but I can think of worse things to spend my time and money on.
According to what I have seen on other profiles, I should list some other likes.
Colors: Green is my all time favorite color, plus I like oranges, and golds, and tans. Anything colorful is welcome, and the only color I really don't like is dirty brown.
Foods: I am learning to eat healthier, and have given up coffee and I am currently exploring tea. Orange, and Lemon spiced are my new favorites, but I am open to try anything once.
I have no allergies.
Chocolate is a weakness, and anything from white to the darkest dark will be enjoyed. I am one of the few that does not like it with peanut butter or nuts though. For SJ, she is not too picky except for texture. If it like a marshmellow in texture she will not eat it. She LOVES jelly beans, and chocolate covered raisins although she never eats the raisin part.
TV: I am into NCIS LA, NCIS, Glee, and The Deadliest Catch, but I do not have cable so I only get to watch what I can rent on Netflix or watch online.
Movies: Anything is worth watching once, but very little is worth watching more then once. I like chick-flicks, action movies, and Disney, gotta love Disney!
Artsy stuff: I love love love black and white Anything with people on it, but not many animals. I like the look of steampunk, but have NO idea how to create it. I like vintagey items, is there anything better then digging around a thrift store?! Currently I am looking for interesting papers to recover picture frames for my wall of SJ. ATCs look like they can become addicting, and inchies look intimidating. But I have created my first zentangle and I am looking forward to seeing how another person will see it. I like postcards, and perfer handmade, just because I love to see others creativity. I am pretty easy to please, anything you make I am sure to enjoy.
People: My family is amazing, and I wouldn't trade them for the world. My mom is one of my best friends, and we have never been closer. My daughter is the most important thing in my life, and nothing will ever change that.
If there is anything else that I should add, please let me know.
SJ~
Like I said at the beginning she is 4 years old. She is blind and deaf. She can see limited ammounts inside, and she hears extrememly deep sounds. She does not like dolls, but loves cars. Anything that lights up, but noises are kind of pointless because toys don't make deep noises. Red and blue seem to get the biggest reaction from her, her current favorite blanket is Super-Man. The drs say it is because of the color contrast, I say it's because it is the only one she has that isn't pink. She is stubborn, contrary, and a handful. She has been through more surgeries in her life then anyone should, and seems to get sick with no cause at all. But I wouldn't trade her for the world.
This will be a pretty short list.
Muddy Brown, there are some nice browns, and there are ugly browns, if it looks dirty rather then nice it's not a good brown.
Micheal Myers, as in the movie Halloween, he is the only movie charecter that has ever really truly scared me.
Fake sugar, if it is going to be bad for me anyways I would rather have the real stuff. Diet sodas, diet teas, "sugar-free" candy, I just can't get past that aftertaste.
I will add more as I think of it, but talking about myself is really hard. Just remember I am easy to please, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
I would love to do them!! I am really wanting to try some new crafts and would like to see what others can do also.
