Who am I...Well, I am a wife, mother and grandmother of six beautiful grandchildren whom I love very much. My favorite thing to do is to spend time with them teaching them to sew and make crafts just like my grandmother did with me. I love spending time on warm days sitting in the swing under the oak tree drinking sweet tea and watching and listening to the birds sing and on the cold days I love to just sit by the fireplace where it is cozy and warm and work on a craft or sewing project. I live in the south, and yes, we love our sweet tea and coffee. lol. However, I did live in Massachusetts and also in Indiana and while I did like living in those areas, there is no place like home and Mississippi is where I grew up and will always be home for me. I love to go to yard sales, flea markets, antique auctions, and estate sales. There is nothing like finding a treasure. I love finding old pieces of furniture and restoring them back to their beautiful glory. I love shabby chic and Victorian decor. I believe in God, family, and true friendship. Thank you for reading my profile and I would love to hear about you.
Hobbies: Sewing, Crafting, Reading, Restoring Furniture, Working in my Flower beds, Canning and preserving my own veggies, fruits, jellies, and pickles and Writing. I love going to estate sales, flea markets, yard sales, auctions, etc. and finding treasures.
Books: I love reading religious books by Joyce Meyer, Larry Levine, and several others. I also like to read novels about the amish and their way of life.
My favorite music is gospel but I also like country music as well. My favorite songs are: Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, Sweet Hour of Prayer, Daddy's Hands (Not sure if that is the right name of it) and many more. I do like to listen to some classical and a tranquil and soothing instrumental music while I am working.
I love flea market flip, the craft channel, The Curse of Oak Island, all the crime shows, and I must admit that I do watch that show "Cheaters" from time to time. Shamefully I find it to be funny. I also love all of Madea's movies. She cracks me up.lol I just love her.
I love to do any kind of crafts. I love to restore old furniture and have done quite a few and sold them. There is just something about taking a trashed piece of very old furniture and bringing it back to it's glory. I love making journals which is a new craft I have gotten into recently. I make doll furniture, doll clothes, quilts, paper crafts, just about anything depending on the mood of the day. lol. I do have a craft room but my favorite place is in front of the fireplace. My favorite materials to work with are lace, lots and lots of lace, appliques, ribbons, flowers, and old and vintage items.

I am in the process of redoing my craft room and love all the youtube craft room tours. I am going with a shabby chic style. Any pass downs are appreciated and will be treasured. I have pulled some of my vintage glass and crystal containers and I am using them and incorporating some of my teapots and teacups into it. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated. Especially organization ideas and suggestions. I love to hear about other peoples craft spaces. My children are all grown and married so my husband and I have taken two of the bedrooms and turned them into our own spaces, his is a man cave and mine of course is my craft/sewing room and we still have one guest room left for visitors and grandchildren. I am using soft color tones in my craft room so it is very tranquil and peaceful. Please share your craft spaces with me.
We all have things we collect and mine are teapots, teacups, china, fenton art glass, cranberry glass, depression glass, carnival glass, porcelain dolls, angels, crosses, bibles, religious books, antiques, bonnets, quilts, scarfs (love these), brooches, vintage pillow cases, aprons, doilys, tea towels, perfume decanters, and knic knacs.
