Hi there Alex! I'm one of your partners for the "My Profile or Yours" swap.
I love Karaoke. It's a rush singing in front of people for fun! I love the idea of collecting old reference and textbooks. I had a few old psychology textbooks that were pretty interesting. Before I joined swap-bot my idea of "crafts" was the femininity you are speaking of. But now that I've hung out here and got to know people --crafting is a lot more than kittens and country stuff. I love that there are people who want to mangle barbies and swap them and stuff like that. It's so fun.
We like a few of the same bands, like New Found Glory. I used to be crazy about them. Listening to them makes me feel nostalgic. I read "Youth in Revolt" last Spring. I thought it was a fairly good book! I watched the movie afterward and was pissed though. Did you see it? Movies always let me down compared to their amazing books.
Office Space is such a good movie. I forget about it and watch it every few years. Do you have Neftlix? It has some pretty good movies about religious fanatics. If you haven't seen it yet, you should watch "The Most Hated Family in America" with BBC's Louis Theroux. It's about Westboro. I thought it was great.
I can't help myself when it comes to kawaii. It's like it's all laced with crack. I can't stop myself from buying or trading for it.
We have a lot of similar favorite themes, like macrabre, anatomy, medical, and such. I have heard of curio cabinet but never learned what it was. I might have to Google it after I read through your links!!
Is "I Eat Snacks" your blog? I saw that your vegan so based on the foods I'm not positive if it's your blog or not. What a creative and funny idea. It makes my hungry. I love janetstore! I've ordered from there once and everything was so nice and the prices were the best I've seen so far. I love so much of the stuff on your wishlist. The Alice in Wonderland cupcake ring is so fun! I also love that Strawberry Shortcake TV necklace.
It was good having an in-depth look into your profile! Have a wonderful, fantastic day!
Hi Alex I am one of your partners for the "Let's meet. Okay. My profile or yours?" Swap...
I'm totally with you on re-useing packaging etc I'm a thrift store fiend, we call them charity shops here in the UK. I like routing around for vintage clothes bargains etc then altering them.

I can't believe you can speak/learning all those languages you must have a good ear for these things, I know a little french from my school days and thats it!
Music - I loves Four Year Strong and Saves The Day! And the 90's Seattle scene is my go to playlist on my ipod. I saw Chris Cornell last year and about near cried when he did Black Hole Sun! There are some I haven't heard of on your list which I will have to YouTube I'm always after new bands to listen to. Fall Out Boy is the best gig I have ever been to...Ahhhh Pete Wentz ~drools~
I love Miyazaki films aswell esp Howls Moving Castle. I'm also with you on Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You Man as I have a total crush on Jason Segel!
....Just seen that you like Freaks and Geeks!!! Well you know when my Jason Segel crush started lol Gawd that was such a good show.
I see you like altered art and recycling, you might like this website some amazing artists on there for you to enjoy!
Oh my gawd Alex, I'm listening to WeSaySo. You sir are very talented. How did I not know about your band? I love it, this is my sort of music, it's loud, fast and super catchy. Your vocals are kinda like early punk but with a pop twist and killer lyrics, it reminds me of Brian Molko! I wanna dance around with my headphones on possibly in my underwear to this. How can I get it on my ipod?
So, I really enjoyed reading your profile Alex as you can tell! I knew I would, I've read it before!!! You're such an unique and positive individual, I love how you have such a vast array of interests and how you love to learn and try new things you're a breath of fresh SB air!!!
Take care hon I hope to see you around TD sometime.
