Hi! I'm Ari! I'm 42. I live in Southern California near the beach and Disneyland. I live with my boyfriend, and my 13 year old daughter, and our many pets. We have cats, dogs, and parrots.

I love all things paper. Stationery, washi tape, stamping, wax seals, scrapbooking, stickers for use in making cards, and making handmade cards and bookmarks. I make myself a new bookmark themed to whatever book I'm reading.

I keep a journal with quotes and song lyrics. Some are motivational and some are for when I've got the blues. I like to write haiku.

I also love baking. I'm a terrible cook but for some reason I can bake cookies, cakes, and cupcakes that are delicious and I love to make my own frosting and put pretty roses on my cakes and cupcakes. My favorite cake is spice cake with cream cheese frosting. My daughter and boyfriend love all things chocolate! I also love making and decorating cookies at Christmas time.

I read Historical Fiction and I love anything with a bit of romance in it. I've read all of Lisa See's books. My favorite is Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. I loved Outlander. I also enjoy anything by Nicholas Sparks especially The Notebook. Harry Potter, Memoirs of a Geisha, and The Language of Flowers are my favorite books to date. (I'm on Good Reads - ariennerose)

Recently I've tried to go back and read some classics. My father has a Masters in Literature and he cringes when I've told him of my latest Danielle Steele novel. :) Hemingway and Steinbeck and quite enjoyable.

I also love to read a book and then see the movie. It started when I was a kid and I wanted to see Silence of the Lambs in the theater and so my dad said he'd take me if I read the book first. It was an amazing book! That started my love of reading and then seeing it on film. Yes...99.9999% of the time, the book is better.

I love the 80's, classic rock, and some country. I also love Glam Rock and Hair Bands! Guns N Roses is still my favorite!!! Now I'm more into Country since it is what my little girl really enjoys. Some of my favorite bands and singers are: Stevie Nicks, Psychedelic Furs, New Order, Pearl Jam, Tim McGraw, Little Big Town, The Band Perry, Lenny Kravitz, Blue October (love Justin!!), Cinderella (don't laugh!), Joan Jett, Bon Jovi, Train, P!nk, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Amy Winehouse, Maroon 5, Sheryl Crow, and movie soundtracks like Mama Mia! Yes...looking above, very eclectic sampling. HAHA!

Some shows I enjoy are THE WALKING DEAD (I love Darryl!!)

I don't watch much TV other than that but when I do, I look for Parenthood, Sex and the City, Big Bang Theory, or Ice Lake Rebels.

I really like whimisical, brightly colored items, and polka dots. Two of my favorite artists are Mary Englebreit and Susan Branch. My favorite color is GREEN! My house is decorated with an eclectic style. It is very homey and a reflection of things that I love. I like ephemeral, vintage, and collage looking items. But I also love rainbow items and mystical creatures such as gnomes, trolls, elves, fairies, mermaids, etc. I also love birds. Penguins, peacocks, flamingos especially. I love decorated items with feathers and seashells. I also like Hello Kitty and Sanrio characters. Coffee and tea themes are nice. I love coffee especially. I prefer Black teas and blend. Not a fan of vanilla tea. Really love Earl Grey blends and some fruity ones. I also like to collect tea bag tags. I like when they have inspirational quotes, sayings, or drawings. Beaches,mountains,snow,arches & doorways,and long roads with trees overhanging are lovely.

I'm sure I will like most anything sent but I have a few things I do not like: Gothic or creepy items Stuff from scary movies (Freddy Krueger or Jason) Religious themes items Dead animals I love receiving stickers but no reward stickers, or puffy children stickers and I'm not a fan of sticker flakes.

I have signed up for a few swaps that require a wish list, so here goes! + Rubber stamps - all sizes and styles. I especially love quotes + wax sealers or wax for a sealer (LOVE THEM!) + bookmarks - I read often and a pretty bookmark is always nice. Especially a handmade one! + Recipes - I'm a terrible cook...but I love my crockpot! Do you have a favorite crockpot recipe to share? Put it on a pretty card!
+ Washi tape (even a sample of your favorites is nice!) + Tea or coffee - I prefer black teas. I haven't found a green tea that I really like. Coffee - I love it all except chocolate or mocha flavors + coffee mugs - I love silly cute coffee mugs + decorations with birds or anything with feathers, not real feathers but drawings or such. My cats will eat the real feathers. + charms or accent pieces for making cards + labels especially for addressing envies + pretty papers to decorate cards or envies, even scrap pieces are nice and usable + if you want to include candy, I like hard candies like peppermints or jolly ranchers, jelly beans, gummy bears, or red vines. I'm not really a chocolate person HAHA-yes we do exist. :)

I'm allergic to many foods so if you do send a food item with gluten, nuts, or chocolate, I will share that with my family. :)
